How did the Ai give successful gambling advice unless it was already connected to the internet to understand all the game details, who was competing, influencing factors etc?

Watch this, then worry about the singularity....
BigGeeGee31 May 2021
....because it's coming.
The writers of this show have had a great time, obviously, thinking up what could happen should an AI reach the singularity and use its new abilities to interact with all the IoT we've been blindly installing all over the world.
Couldn't happen IRL ? Tell that to those pipeline engineers in East America recently. That was a hack by humans, imagine a hack by an AI a thousand times smarter than any human and with absolutely no morals.
Ok this show takes some "artistic licenses" and some of the people, such as LeBlanc's daughter, are so stupid it hurts to watch, but the main guy and the main gal are brilliant.
Trouble is, if you watch this - you won't stop worrying about AI and you'll notice just how pervasive we have allowed "the internet" to become. From phones "always listening/videoing" to our home thermostats, our cars, RING doorbells, oil pipelines (I mentioned above) medical care etc etc
Me? I'm keeping my 1983 VW Golf GTI MK1 and a login cabin off grid for when (not if, when) the singularity happens.😏

Michael Crichton??
plamoly7 October 2020
To the person who commented about it having the same plot line and genre as the Michael Crichton book......lay off the crack pipe, they have literally nothing in common...
The first episode was really good, I'm interested to see where this goes!
