"Martin Solveig & Dragonette: Hello" is the title of this movie we have here that runs for exactly four minutes. It was released back in 2010, so has its tenth anniversary now in 2020. Of course this is a music video and you can read the names of the two artists in the title. Solveig seems to be the DJ and Dragonette the singer and this is not their only collaboration. The director is Tristan Séguéla and he has worked with Solveig on several other occasions too, before and after this one. But now it seems that he has moved on to "real" filmmaking. Anyway, you also see Solveig on the screen here and he is playing a tennis match against a certain Bob Sincla(i)r, another musician. The latter I am not familiar with at all, but Solveig I think I have at least heard the name before, even if I am not one bit aware of a song or what kind of music he makes if we ignore the one I just watched. Well, it is a little fun number, but nothing too special. However, like I said in the title of my review, I only came across this one because there are three tennis players included here. The action takes place at Roland Garros and funnily Novak Djokovic played the final there today, a decade later, lost to my favorite. Nadal is not in here, but Djokovic is and he comes out to support Solveig (does not sound French by the way) when a linesperson made a crucial call against him on match point. Said lineswoman is played by Swedish-French player Mathilde Johansson whose career sadly did not go as well as the one of the two male players you see in here. Took Djokovic also another 6 years too finally win the title in Paris. The third player is Gael Monfils, who is also still active today, actually doing really well this year. At least before Corona. He is the one who shows up and kisses Solveig's love interest and this is where he surrenders the match apparently as this secret love is all he cared for and all of a sudden he started playing better when she arrived. But now that she has somebody else, he just doesn't care anymore. Fairly simple story, here and there a fun moment, but overall nothing you really need to see, even if you like tennis. Maybe worth it if you like the artist. But then you probably know this anyway because I see this is his biggest hit? Made number one in some countries even and in many others top10. Baffling, but does not get me too curious about his work I must say if that is the best he got. Even mildly successful in the US. Okay, overall it's not terrible, but still not good enough for a thumbs-up. I suggest you skip both the watch and listen here or just listen to it unless you're a Djokovic fan.
