‘Japan is known for having very beautiful seasons. Every day, as we live, we are influenced so much by them – the change of the season, the air, the temperature, the wind, or the smell of the wind. Those are things that inspires us.’
It’s clear that nature is something that is very much at the heart of Akira Kosemura, both the man and the music that he makes. His is a natural talent, born of a fascination with film music, storytelling and a curiosity about the sounds of the world around us. That all shines through in Seasons, but the seeds have been sewn by the musician and composer over the last 15 years and a blossoming career that seemingly grew out of nowhere. Or should that be somewhere?
Tokyo is home for Kosemura, it’s where he was born, and it continues to play an important role in shaping his identity as a composer.

Now that first-round Emmy voting is completed, who will be nominated for the season’s best song? RuPaul? Hailee Steinfeld? Darren Criss? Kristin Chenoweth?
That’s right, all four actors are potential nominees in Emmy’s song competition, officially known as Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics … as are such musical personalities as the Weeknd, Sara Bareilles, Brad Paisley and Nick Jonas — along with about 200 other songwriters.
If you’re an Emmy voter in the music branch, how do you decide what song to vote for? Do you pick something you already know and like, or do you investigate some, or all, of the many tunes entered?
There are seven music categories, which encompass more than 300 separate programs, a daunting task for even the most diligent voter. The vast number of shows entered is overwhelming, and no one — especially working professionals, which constitute the bulk of the estimated 600 composers, songwriters and...

The Jonas Brothers stopped by The Late Late Show to perform their recent single “What a Man Gotta Do.” The trio gave the song a raucous turn with the help of their live band and a few backup singers, creating an upbeat, party atmosphere in the late-night show’s studio.
The band released two music videos for the single last month, the first starring their significant others Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas and inspired by Eighties films like Risky Business and Say Anything. The second, an “alternate” video,...

Ahead, watch them make each other laugh with their brotherly banter during some of their funniest interviews.

Only a few days after releasing their wild “What a Man Gotta Do” music video, Jonas Brothers have dropped an alternate clip for the track. In this version, titled “Vegas Ride,” the trio cram in the back seat of car driving around the Las Vegas strip as they perform the single. The Jonas Brothers avoided the theatrics of most performers at the 2019 American Music Awards, harmonizing on a straight-ahead version of their single “Only Human” on Sunday night.
As the trio bopped around the stage, a massive wall of TV screens flashed clips of the band members. Kevin Jonas strummed an electric guitar, and brothers Nick and Joe traded off on lead vocals. “It’s only human, you know that it’s real,” Nick sang on the bouncy track. “So why would you fight or try to deny the way that you feel?...

The three brothers discussed the reasons for their breakup in 2013 and how they decided to come back together following successful solo careers.

Since the Jonas Brothers first rose to fame in 2006, Joe and Nick were both positioned as the frontmen of the group, singing lead on the majority of the songs and taking center stage at shows. As a result, Kevin had less of a spotlight. I'll admit it: I was a hardcore Nick fan growing up, but since the Jonas Brothers reunited, I've seen a completely different side of Kevin. He seems more confident and outspoken, and - let's state the obvious here - he looks amazing. I've slowly been jumping onboard the Team Kevin train this year, but now after watching the Jonas Brothers documentary, Chasing Happiness, I'm officially all in.
"That might have been the hardest moment in my entire life," Kevin says through tears, as I tried to hold back my own.

Please welcome the Jonas Brothers and Busted to the stage! The two bands united on June 8 to sing "Year 3000" at the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in the UK. This onstage collaboration came as a surprise to fans, including Joe Jonas's wife, Sophie Turner.
"You ready, Sophe?" Joe said, after introducing English rock band Busted to the stage. He later shared a video of Sophie freaking out in the crowd on Instagram. Her excitement was definitely shared by the roaring crowd, as the bands sang together. The song "Year 3000" was originally released by Busted in 2003, and later covered by Nick, Joe, and Kevin in 2006. A throwback, either way! Watch the full video of their performance above, and catch up on all the juicy tidbits from the Jonas Brothers' new documentary, Chasing Happiness.

The Jonas Brothers documentary, Chasing Happiness, is certainly a nostalgic trip. Not only does the film recount their crazy rise to fame, but it also includes a few of their most memorable hits for the soundtrack. While the brothers are best known for love songs like "When You Look Me in the Eyes" and "Lovebug," there is one song featured in the documentary that some fans might not be familiar with.
As the brothers talk about their early songwriting days, we get a glimpse of home video with Kevin, Joe, and Nick singing a song called "Move On." Unlike their previous tracks, the lyrics to this one aren't exactly sweet and happy. At one point, Joe sings, "Wouldn't it be nice if I had some tissues to wipes away the tears, that's right you got issues." If you're unfamiliar with the breakup song, it's because it was never actually released.

The Jonas Brothers have certainly had some epic romances over the years. While Kevin, Joe, and Nick are all happily married now, their documentary Chasing Happiness does reflect on one past love, Nick's ex Miley Cyrus. As the brothers talk about how they started getting more attention from girls when they signed with Disney, Kevin adds that things really changed for Nick when they appeared on an episode of Hannah Montana. "When he met Miley, I think that kid's head exploded," Kevin explains.
In addition to becoming one of the biggest tween romances on the Disney Channel, Nick's relationship with Miley also inspired a handful of Jonas Brothers love songs. So, just how long did the two actually date? Let's just say, their relationship timeline is a bit complicated. After meeting and starting a relationship in 2006, the couple eventually parted ways a year later. While there were rumors that they...

The Jonas Brothers men have had some pretty epic romances of the course of their career, but Kevin and his wife, Danielle, have been together almost as long as the band has. In the Jonas Brothers documentary, Chasing Happiness, there is a really sweet moment between the two lovebirds from November 2007 as Kevin talks with Danielle on the phone and his brothers Nick and Joe try to give him dating advice. Of course, the cutest part is at the end of the phone call when Kevin tells his brothers off and Nick hilariously replies, "Sorry, we're just really excited because she's your wife." Talk about foreshadowing!
So, when did their romance first begin? Kevin first met Danielle when they were vacationing with their families in the Bahamas in May 2007. Based on the clip from their documentary, it appears they started dating sometime later that year. In July 2009, Kevin surprised Danielle...

The Jonas Brothers put everything all out in the open in their Amazon documentary, Chasing Happiness. In addition to recounting their rise to fame and their recent reunion, the film also dove pretty deep into why they broke up in 2013. While the split came as a huge shock for fans at the time, there was clearly much more going on behind the scenes.
Rumors of the band's split first started circulating in October 2013, when the Jonas Brothers canceled their upcoming tour and their official Twitter account was deleted. Shortly after, Joe cryptically tweeted, "Please hold while we get our sh*t together." On Oct. 30, 2013, the Jonas Brothers officially confirmed that they were breaking up during an appearance on Good Morning America. Though they didn't go into too much detail at the time, they stated that they were ultimately putting their family first before their music. Here's what the brothers have...

Kevin and Danielle Jonas's sweet romance was on full display as they attended the Jonas Brothers' Chasing Happiness premiere on Monday night. The longtime couple and parents of two looked lost in their own little world as they hit the red carpet together. While Kevin looked dapper in a maroon suit, his wife looked absolutely stunning in a pink two-piece ensemble. At one point, Danielle wrapped her arms around Kevin's neck as he leaned in for a kiss.
As if their Pda wasn't enough to make you swoon, a fan noticed something especially cute about the guitar pick Kevin used on stage after the premiere. On one side, it read "K & D" for Kevin and Danielle, and on the other side it read "A & V" for the initials of their daughters, Alena and Valentina. So even when Kevin is performing on stage, he still has his best girls with him.

The Jonas Brothers turned the Chasing Happiness premiere into a darling date night with their wives on June 3. Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas had the full support of their family at the La event, which included sweet moments with Danielle, Sophie Turner, and Priyanka Chopra. How romantic!
The brothers announced the release of their Amazon documentary back in March, ahead of their Happiness Begins album launch on June 7. The documentary officially premieres on June 4, and will be an intimate look into the group's lives. Nick, Joe, and Kevin have been candid about their relationship as a family and as musicians since stepping back into the spotlight this year. “Dark Phoenix” reigned supreme on Tuesday night in Hollywood, as the twelfth film in the “X-Men” franchise celebrated its world premiere. And the biggest show of support for the film and its star, “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner, came from the person who originated the title role on the big screen – Famke Janssen.
Janssen played the role of Jean Grey in the original “X-Men” trilogy 19 years ago alongside Hugh Jackman, James Marsden and Halle Berry. But her presence at Tuesday night’s premiere seemed to mark a change of heart for the actress, who has been vocal about her criticism of the franchise in the past. Case in point — Janssen took on the famed “Dark Phoenix” storyline in 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand,” to mixed reviews from fans and the actress herself.

Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas are back with a vengeance, and Monday night’s premiere of their documentary “Chasing Happiness” proved it. It was full Jonas Brothers pandemonium outside the Regency Bruin Theatre in Westwood, with fans lining both sides of the street and waiting for hours to catch a glimpse of the reunited band. But the brothers say they never expected the rather impressive welcome back that they’ve gotten from fans, because they weren’t expecting to be back themselves.
“We weren’t intentionally doing a comeback in this doc,” Kevin Jonas told reporters on the black carpet at the documentary’s premiere. “[But] with all the time we spend together and going through the process and finding each other again in that capacity, led to us wanting to do the Jonas Brothers again. And then of course led to new music and then the album coming out on Friday.

Confession time. I had never heard of, nor heard the songs of, the Jonas Brothers until Priyanka Chopra married one of them.
Be warned. There is very little of our Priyanka in this exceptionally revealing documentary. But she is not missed.
"Chasing Happiness" is about brotherly bonding that transcends the showbiz formula of success, drugs and rock 'n' roll. There they were, three healthy all-American boys from a 2-bedroom house in New Jersey whose songs were suddenly sung by 70,000 people, who are thrown into the frightening drill of staying successful because failure is not an option.
Not that these boys -- Nick, Joe and Kevin -- were flogged into fame by overambitious parents. Not at all. If you are looking for a sleazy saga of a brothers' boy band sinking into debauchery, then "Chasing Happiness" is not for you.
The closest you will come to something risque is when Joe...

Just days before the release of the Jonas Brothers’ new album Happiness Begins on June 7th, the band sat down with CBS Sunday Morning to discuss their reunion journey and the circumstances behind their breakup.
After the brothers Jonas, Kevin, Joe and Nick, encountered stagnating record and ticket sales and faced internal strife, the band split up in 2013. “To call it creative differences is almost too simple,” Nick said. “And I think a lot of people lost the appetite for what we were putting into the world. So, you know,...

The Jonas Brothers will publish a new memoir, Blood, November 12th via Feiwel and Friends, an imprint of the publishing house Macmillan. Blood chronicles the origins of the Jonas Brothers, traces their swift rise from Disney idols to genuine pop stars and delves into the tensions that fueled their break-up in 2013. But the band will also discuss their recent reunion, which will culminate with the release of their new album, Happiness Begins, June 7th.
The Jonas Brothers — Joe, Kevin and Nick — co-wrote Blood with journalist Neil Strauss, who famously co-wrote The Dirt with Mötley Crüe.

The CW rounded up this year’s litany of network upfront presentations with a quick, hour-long event, touting its multi-platform strategy on both linear and digital. Here are a few takeaways from the showcase, held at New York City Center (and kicked off by a performance from the Jonas Brothers).
The CW is bullish on “Batwoman” as a new defining series for the network: The CW president Mark Pedowitz wasted no time opening the upfront with the trailer for the new groundbreaking DC series. Starring Ruby Rose as the title character, the first Lgbtq lead in the CW’s DC universe, the show is billed as “a Caped Crusader for a new generation.”
“That looked kind of cool,” said Rose, who said that was the first time she had seen the clip. “It’s a really rare opportunity to play such a fantastic character,” she added.
Added Pedowitz: “It’s...
