What a bunch of crap!

Pure garbage. That's not Martin Riggs. That's not Murtagh. Get real! Stop stealing classic ideas & titles!

Creepy, creepy disjointed lemon of a movie.
27 August 2006
Okay, so now people are trying to copy Tim Burton's style of dark, yet touching movies for children and adults. Well, ITS NOT WORKING. Sure, the attempt at style was there, and enough violent special effects to rival Zathura. But the children's acting was rather lame, and the plot was just meandering around. No wonder I avoided those books, they had the same problem. Mostly though it is just too disturbing, for any age group, and then the ending felt tacked on, with schmaltzy feel-good 'lessons' and a setup for a sequel. Lets hope they never get to make one because this movie should be avoided like the plague! It felt like a disease!

About a dozen naked, dancing, dead ladies in a graveyard! Can this be for real?
4 August 1998
Even though it is listed here as a 1980 movie, it seems much in the style of the 1960s. The dialog is terrible, and the plot is barely there. Also barely there are the thong-style bikini bottoms worn by the topless dead dancing women! By the fading light of the full moon, they strip and strut for the "Ruler of the Dark", (his side-kick is great, probably the best dressed/best actress in this movie) allegedly as punishment for their immoral ways in life. It was also an ironic touch to catch and tie up the couple who were watching all this (it could happen to you!) Overall, a gratuitous skinflick, with a whole lotta shakin' goin' on, and some pretty good thematic music, but a no-brainer beyond that. At least it's an attempt to bring erotica and horror together...
