Blade (1998)
Worst movie of the year.
I cry each night when I realize I spent 7.50 on this garbage. And garbage it was, it was putrid, horrible, poor, enough to bring a man to tears.
Wesley Snipes stars as "Blade," a hardcore bad-boy ray-ban sunglass wearing vampire-sniper. The first 30 minutes you are thrilled to a treat of blood lust by vampires and Blade killing them all. When he finally speaks you are stupified by the simplicity in the mind of this vampire-hunter, all of Wesley Snipes lines are as follows.
"You know those vampires got one thing coming." "What" a timid female voice asks. "Me." Blade then jumps through the glass and kills everyone, fantastic!
Then came his sidekick, a victim of a vampire bite that he rescued because she looked like his mother (brings tears to your eyes...). First she's a timid scared nurse and would not hurt a small rodent. Then after 20 minutes of being around Blades she becomes a hard-core female dog killer, and seems to be even darker than Blade by the end of the movie. Amazing turn around for shaky nurse in a hospital.
Then comes Blades's hideout which is a warehouse wide open. They might as well tacked a sign on the front door. And when the "evil" Stephen Dorf finds Blade, of course the first question asked by the protaganist is, "How did you find me!?"
I was utterly shocked. Combined with lousy acting (exception on Stephen Dorf) and people blowing up like large pimples when being injected by a "serum," it was horrid. I implore you, my fellow readers of the Internet Movie Database, to turn your heads. You won't like what you want to see.
In conclusion I ended up spending 7.50. Seven dollars and fifty cents I could have donated to causes such as the Cure for AIDS, Cancer, Gingivitis, but no, I spent it on Blade. How do I live with myself? I shall never know.
Fear (1996)
Fear - The Review
First off, the only reason I saw this movie was because Mark Wahlberg was in it. He was great in Boogie Nights so I decided to trace his career back to earlier movies. And, again he performs well in this movie. It's the basic plot of a jealous boyfriend who quickly becomes obsessed with his girlfriend. When she tries to leave this ****** him off beyond any belief and he quickly tries to gain revenge.
La putain du roi (1990)
The Kings Failure
This movie was simply long and drawn out. Its plot was extremely shaky and the acting was less then exceptional. Basically it is about a King who in his wise decision-making decides to take on a lady(who he falls in love with). The lady was supposed to be wed to someone else, so things get messed up. The movie goes through their lives and shows the final end. I would not bother seeing it though, I almost fell asleep.
Rounders (1998)
Sorry...
When you slice and dice into the depth of Rounders you find that you've just watched 10 poker games over a time period of 2 hours. This was one of the movies I looked at my watch at during. While some great performances it just has a bad plot, and there's nothing you can make up for that, even with Matt Damon. I did not see the depth in it, I saw some card games, just didn't click with me.

Rush Hour (1998)
Brett makes a hit
Rush Hour was very, very, funny. One of the best films to make fun of different cultures by far. Even though it's full of sterotypes, racism, bigotry, and down out bad humor, Chris Tucker combined with Jackie Chan's innocent stylistic pose make for a very entertaining while thrilling movie. This is one you should pay 7.50 for.

In & Out (1997)
Out
This movie details a small-town school teacher fiance, who dresses gay, talks gay, walks gay, looks gay. Then his missing in school student who went onto a grand movie career starring as a gay soldier announces to the elderly Oscar attendants that this school teacher is in fact gay. Kevin Klein who plays the school teacher is shocked, surprised, and baffled by this outrageous comment. His life is turned upside down all over as he goes through the ordeals a gay person coming out of the mahogany closet does..
It was an all right movie, mine as well wait until it comes on TV though.

Falling Down (1993)
Michael Douglas hits w/ a basball bat...
Falling Down is about a middle-aged average guy who has been working most of his life. He is one of the countless suit-wearing fellas you'd see walking down the street, all of them seem anonymous and silent, just existing to work. This goes into the mind and thoughts of one of them, and why he is fed up with society. Why it ticks him off, you'll find you can often relate to this disgruntled man if your a city resident.
