Quantum Leap (2022– )
4/10
Watchable but not likable
26 October 2023
To be fair, I have not seen all the episodes. The pilot, and episode 2 from the first season and now at episode or two of the second season. Too much characterization. His girlfriend being the hologram helping Ben and always fighting about their relationship just gets to me. Weird, the stories that Ben jumps into are very good but way too much of the scientists that operates Quantum leap. They are not interesting and again neither is the hologram girlfriend story. In fact, really a lot of the characters including the main character Ben is not truly likeable unlike Sam Beckett. It was better leaving well enough alone.

It works but fails
26 December 2022
This is no Inner Light but still good. But people really have to let go and move on in life. Why it fails for me, it's just the fact if this is supposed to be part of the recurring story of the show then the character of DAX being there blows it. Since Terry Farrell left in season six by her character dying. So, should be no future Dax. That is what happens when you write a story about the future in the middle of a series. With that series going to still run for so many more years then you don't know what actors leave a show and what actors will stay that can screw up a old episode. Don't know if this was helpful.

May not be fair review
20 April 2020
Watching I guess is pilot of reboot and I can't get though it. Story seems fake, blatant advertising which the original had some of that too. Where the original seemed authentic in the stories this version doesn't. Plus in this pilot they are destroying a very good house to build a useless mansion house. Even in the original I never got this. A family is struggling and you building a bigger house so they can have a larger mortgage plus larger property taxes! In the original there was only a few shows that they actually paid everything off but not with everybody. Think about that if writing to a series like this one to get a makeover. Anyway, I take the original any day.

iCarly: iOMG (2011)

Love the ending!!!!
11 April 2011
Don't know about anyone else... but this was a great ending. This will open the doors for a new story line, especially for season five. I always thought since the very first episode that there was chemistry in both Freddie and Sam. As I wrote in a review for 'Ikiss' a few years ago. My saying was... 'If you didn't like a person, you wouldn't be picking on them'. For Sam, as a adult watching the show, it was very, very obvious.

My original review for 'Ikiss' still holds up even for this episode. So, go check what I said then. But for 'IOmg', this had to be one of their best episodes and I hope that they don't let what Sam created and just forget it happened, that would be insulting. I can't wait see what they do next because this can be a beginning of a beautiful romance.

funny/Spencer funnier with hair cut
7 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This is a simple review. Just have to say that this episode had to be one the funnier episodes in a while. Everyone seemed to have a funny line to say. I don't think that anyone under the age of 21, who doesn't follow music got 'The Carpenters' reference. Karen Carpenter had one hell of a great voice. She died too young. My favorite of their songs is 'Top of the World'. Lastly, is it me or after Spencer received his hair cut did the character was more like Spencer. If he didn't get a hair cut I don't think some of the routines would have worked if had his long hair. The character of Spencer just seems to work better with shorter hair in my opinion.

The Odd Couple (1970–1975)

DVD's disappointing!
2 June 2010
The TV show, 'The Odd Couple' is a classic. Great acting from two pro's with excellent scripts. Growing up I watched the episodes over and over like many other favorites shows. So, when I heard it was coming finally to DVD, I said, 'Finally'. But beware folks... Season one is unaltered... BUT, the other final four seasons are edited... I guess being cheap... a lot of the music/songs were not re-bought. Which is very sad... because a couple episodes ended in song. Even though the episodes are very much intact, the alternations do show, especially the final episode when Felix gets remarried and cut is Oscar singing, "Singing in the rain" at the end. Very bad edit. But the comedy is still very much there but not the true episodes, so beware! Tony Randall, God rest his soul would be disappointed if he saw this.

The Odd Couple I rate a TEN!!! The last four seasons on DVD I rate a 8 cause of the edits.

iCarly: iWon't Cancel the Show (2010)
Season 3, Episode 15

Episode works but not same without Jennette McCurdy!
3 May 2010
Sam is in jail and they need Spencer to be the second banana. This is another good episode of iCarly except no true antagonist meaning... Sam. Supposely, Jennette was sick recovering from having her tonsils taken out... so, under a schedule they probably had to do a rewrite and film one without her.

It worked but not really the same. Icarly needs all the principal characters to work and without Sam, the show is different and if Jennette did leave the show then the show can't work without the character of Sam. It is weird how one character can change a outcome of a show.

iCarly: iMake Sam Girlier (2009)

Not only time we saw Sam girlie
30 April 2009
I agree that this is well done but overused story plot in comedy.

To me, Sam really doesn't need a make over. She looks great as is. It is her tomboy ways that needed fixing which didn't matter in the end of the episode. That's goes to show, "Be Yourself". That certain person will like you for who are and not what you're trying to be.

In a earlier episode... they were mocking the teen movie that seems to be made nowadays. If look what the character of Sam what she wears. It is simple but girlie... I would think it was the first time we saw Sam truly looking like a lady.

A Classic Comedy
3 April 2009
A simple comment...

What can I say... this is a wonderful film that I can watch over and over. It is definitely one of the top ten comedies made. With a great cast, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau wording a perfect script by Neil Simon, based on his play.

It is real to life situation done perfectly. If you have digital cable, one gets the menu on bottom of screen to give what is on. It usually gives this film ***% stars but in reality it deserves **** stars. If you really watch this film, one can tell that it will be as funny and fresh a hundred years from now.

iCarly: iKiss (2009)
Season 2, Episode 7

nice romance
12 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Ever since the beginning of "iCarly", I knew something had to happen with the characters of Freddie and Sam. It is like I always say which I don't know if it's a actual saying...

'If I didn't like you, I wouldn't be picking on you.'

Think about it... Would you do what Sam does if you hated that person? I don't think so.

That's why it was nice to see that 'nice romance' apology/kiss because of Sam's foolish revenge. But it will be foolish if the writers let it go... it is too much friction between them to see them not together.

So, "iCarly" writers... don't let it get away or you will insult the intelligent audience out here that knows that Freddie and Sam are meant to be.

Sad: But not a tearjeaker as the TV Classic of 1971!
6 December 2001
This remake and I have no idea why they remade it, is good but not as powerful and less sad as the original. If ABC wanted to open the story again to a new generation why didn't they just show the classic film. The new version missed too many opportunies to break the audience into tears as the original did and still does so well. Sorry to say to younger generation this version is no classic and if want to view finer acting and have more tears watch the original thou the style of filmmaking has changed...meaning the classic has the 70's look, the 1971 film it still one of the best tv films made... Sorry, it's true.

"A truly original film"
16 February 1999
"Shakespeare in Love" is truly one of the years best films of 1998. It is funny with great performances from all the actors that came from a truly original screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard. The whole film is very beautiful down to the musical score. "Shakespeare in Love" is a film for all who loves a damn good film. It is one for the lovers of heart and the lovers of film. And again, I applaud the screenwriters for a great, crisp, screenplay. "Shakespeare in Love" is breathtakingly wonderful.

A+ Film that leaves a person to pick up the Bible to read the story of Moses!
21 December 1998
'The Prince Of Egypt' is a well-done, lavish looking animated film which makes a person want to pick up the Bible and read the story of Moses. This is a nicely done adult animated feature which children can be interested in. Though there are no cute animals just a couple cute scenes,'The Prince Of Egypt' is an entertaining film which one doesn't feel disappointed leaving the theater! This film can and should be shown to young kids in Sunday School or CCD classes just for the entertainment this film brings then one can study what is truly written in the Bible!

Psycho (1998)
A true horror classic is remade cheaply with no originality!
1 December 1998
This will be Gus Van Sant 'SWANSONG' for if one is to do a remake, a director should do it in his own vision than of someone else's. Just taking the script and doing it frame by frame with just a couple of dialogue changes for the times is unimaginitive to make a few pennies. The original is a superior classic that broke a lot of ground in the industry while this remake will be nothing more as a forgotten remake which true movie buffs and fans of the original will say in the end, "This version is like the original" which the original should have been left alone!!!
