Somewhat uneven adventure film about a friendship between 2 boys.
31 March 2002
This movie, written by director Sandoz as well, tells the story of young Matthew, who gets involved in a drug-related shooting in New York and subsequently heads for Switzerland to hide from the police. In Geneva, he meets Maria-Helena, wife of a famous politician, who gives him food and shelter (and has a sort of affair with him). Haunted by the police in Geneva, Matthew takes the bus to the country. Here, he meets Thomas, son of a farmer in the mountains, and the two become close friends. Eventually, the two end up in Geneva again with Maria-Helena for a finale.

Although the film is not a total bomb, it is certainly not good either. As the story develops, the lack of character (in combination with the mediocre acting skills of Thomas Nock) is a serious problem. Cinematography, however, somewhat makes up for this, although the overall story suffers from many gaps (not to mention the over-the-top finale).
