I first saw "Darling Lili" in a theater, when it was new. It wasn't great drama, or even great comedy, but I enjoyed it. Some of the comedy scenes were hilarious, while other spots just missed. It certainly wasn't a bomb.

A few months ago, it was run on PBS. I looked forward to seeing it again, only to discover large chunks of the film missing. It was a great disappointment. While still enjoyable, it wasn't the film I wanted to see. What a shame someone ruined it!

I have seen this film a number of times, once before it was cut to please the squeamish. I have since been disappointed at the missing scenes, but the overall film is still the finest telling of the Arthurian legend that has been done. Now, if I could just find a complete copy... Thanks for the opportunity to express a woman's point of view.
