Basically this encourages bad people and there are plenty of IRL to prove it.

I do not think they should be promoting something that is easy to be done by others.

A Woman in Brisbane killed herself after a Women in Melbourne impersonated a Football Stars son on FB with constant abuse and threats to her. This encourages people to destroy other peoples lives.

This show should not be applauded but condemned, and society Laws should be upgraded to discourage this kind of behaviour as it ruins and even potentially kills people.

A story about some rich ignorant white folk (Yes i am white btw) scared about sounds that bump in the night have a robbery.

I feel so sorry for the lady helper who got scared and brunt some incense.

I really did want the dad to get killed, however both daughter and mother seemed nice enough to spare :)

What a BORING BORING show that has pool cleaner moving out of the water every night, pots falling down and of course the help gets sacked cause he said she was doing voodoo. The star is a moronic father who has too much money and too much time on there hands.

Change the channel before you waste your life like i did.

I don't mind a bit of rapture.

Acting not bad, good cast and interesting topic.

However then I cringed when the Muslim was still on the plane. That made me think ... well not only did half of America not disappear but that some 10 billion Muslims not disappear. then it got me thinking did all the Muslims children go as well? they could have left that thought out of my head.

Then i started to ask more questions, why did some good people not go to heaven ... oh wait its not about being a good person, its being a believer isn't it even if you are bad. That's when i realized its truly a horror movie of biblical proportions.

Interesting but very naive and if they wanted people to believe it was a massive crash failure. worth a watch late at night.

Okay i got duped by IINET movie ratings and the sublime plot. I really do like the story and the plot as i have been to India numerous times. But the religious rhetoric just was too much. I have compassion and concern about slavery and children and I am agnostic and i do not need faith to believe that it can be fixed. Sorry this is the sad point of this story as i see it. You do not need to have faith that things will be better cause it won't but you can show the world just how bad a third world life is .... No child should live in poverty or child prostitution.

I do like how they show just how bad it can be .... but saving one little girl is not going to save the world and by saving that one girl isn't going to make it right with your "God". There are much more serious issues here. How can we let people or children live that way? How do we fix the growing epidemic ? And the real question is that if there is a GOD then why is some people allowed to live in extreme wealth and others without food for days at a time.

If you are a true Christian then all the that WEALTH they showed in this movie should be sold off and you can live in a modest single storey home with a small car and no-name brand clothes and setup a school for the poor and morning and evening meals for the poor. Now thats being a Christian.

I loved the 1960's and I loved the direction of this movie. At first I was taken back and it started more like a clip from a song but that was its style. The photography was brilliant and I like how you had to work out what it was all about. Perhaps they could have simplified it and added more words but to me that would have ruined it. I liked the innocence of the two stars first love and it makes you think back to your first kiss or talking to a girl or boy. All the kids acted exactly how kids react. It was dark humor and when mix that with the age of the stars it is controversial. I thought those days are long gone as it seems today talking about your first love or children thinking about love is a taboo but I am glad they still do movies in all parts of life.... from being born .... growing up .... being teenager to middle age and of course growing old.

True there will be haters and i understand that but the majority wins .... and i am glad more liked it than not.

I for one loved this series and I tip my hat off for the writers and director for having the balls to do an interpretation of the facts. To say that these are the facts of for others to tell us what the facts are for events that 465 years ago is like reading a bible now and reading the bible 400 years ago. Totally inaccurate! There was sex and lots of it and they used it for power and vengeance and greed! it is exactly what i expected to see.

There is plenty of theories of who did what and how many people died and even how they died.

The research was brilliant the acting superb. And even if the facts are not true not even the historians know the real truth anyway.

If you want to get involved history this series will get you interested no matter what the truth is.

There was sex and people did things they didn't want to do and it was believable.

Enjoy it! King Henry the VIII never looked so fantastic.

Watched "Red Dog" after all the fuss about it ....

At first why do they need an American star for this movie? Doesn't Australia have a decent "rising star" hopefully not from Neighbors and Home and Away? This had a great opportunity to talk about a folk legend "Pilbara Wanderer" who made his name hitching a ride to wherever they went. Instead of telling a heart felt story it really showed the bogan miners (in the real world these guys work their guts out back in the 70's) with bogan cowboy fights and silly sideline stories.

Why do we need to do a tourism sell every time we make an Australian movie? And if they took out every Australian song for the last 30 years it would have been better. Seriously when they need to spend 40% of the movie on images and music you know its missing a decent script writer. Nice story about a wonderful life of a dog in WA mining town without too much thinking .....unfortunately they could have done so much more.

I was thinking errr its another Rock movie but its better than that and while it's not perfect but was very enjoyable! Dwayne didn't say many words but he was very emotional and right for the job.

The story has a form of complexity that you just would not expect when you look at the cover of the movie and to me it really is let down with the naming and marketing.

It is a dark movie and very violent and probably a big surprise to many that it is not just a simple shot em up type of movie. Billy Bob Thornton was simply brilliant and the movie has tad of Natural Born Killers feel to it, so if you like that kind of style then it is worth a look.

While it wont be a classic as many ideas have been done before but it does have a touch of class that makes you overcome these issues and it is worth a watch just on the music alone. George Tillman Jr has come along way with this movie but is still learning his trade.

Okay let me get this right! The Republicans are insulted, the African Americans are insulted and the do gooders are insulted and the raw nitty gritty tell us the truth are insulted! Why is this so? It is pretty easy to explain really .... you see the story was always going to divide people in itself but the producers tried to run this down the middle IE not too left or right and as we all know it's human nature that if it doesn't sit politically correct in your head you are not going to be happy.

Now here is my take on the story. Irrespective of the white folks intentions and would they do it if he wasn't a potentially going to be a football star this movie shows (even with its Walt Disney feel) that people can do good and that they should do good. Society is a difficult problem with no simple answers, for example here in Australia we don't do enough to help the indigenous people and yet they get upset if you do help them as they would like to do it on their own terms. I fully agree with them but this doesn't mean you should let a young children live on the streets or that we don't provide assistance. The reality is not every aboriginal is disadvantage but there is a high majority of them who are. This is where people need to think outside the square and not take offense to the stereo typing and appreciate the particular people's story. You see most white southern people are republicans and most Africans Southern Americans are living below the poverty line. I personally find it offensive that people who live in New York or Germany find it offensive when they do not take into account the particular person situation and they are in fact generalising their assumptions based on his/hers location and situations. It is also a fact that not every person has the chance to go to university of their choice without the right criteria. Do you think that every Harvard university student wants to be a lawyer or doctor because of their own goals or ideas? Many of these students are driving by parent's goals and dreams and if they have the resources then so be it. Michael had a chance to do something in his life that would give him future. I sure as hell don't want to work at my job every week but i do it and i am sure that I am not the only person who feels like that..... but life gives us all choices and Michael took his .... right or wrong Michael is a lucky man.

Good story but could have been better, however it has good acting and it is well worth a look.

When sizing a movies worth you need to ask yourself some questions? Did you follow the story? Did you care about the characters? Did you laugh, cry or was in suspenseful? If you can say at least 2 out of the 3 things then you had a good time and to me I got 3 out of 3. If you are wanting to watch this movie that has action ... yes .... do you want to laugh .... yes....do you care about the star of the movie yes. Okay now for the negatives .... are you a movie editor? Well it has inconsistencies all over the place.... does the story have holes you can drive a truck through well that's true as well. Is it going to win any Oscars well no it won't for all the points clearly highlighted in many reviews. I liked it and many will like it for what it is .... no matter the flaws it was still art and entertainment was the main goal so I will give it 7/10 even with the negatives in place. Recommended.
