The Reagans (2003)
The Comedy Miniseries Of The Year!!!
Not since Susan Sarandon's Hitler have a miniseries have got so much crave than of this one, THE COMEDY HIT MINISERIES OF THE YEAR CALLED THE REAGANS!!!
Jack Kennedy give us no comments, no documentaries and no trailers, other than The Bridge On The River Kwai, From Here To Eternity and The Guns Of Navarone, as the Reagans miniseries is remembered for years to come.
MUST SEE!!!
Toy Story (1995)
One Of The Great Animated Features Of The 1990's!
If you love Toy Story 2, then, you'll love this original classic!!!
The first Disney/Pixar production (And, the first animated feature to be computer made) is well worth a double feature with Toy Story 2-of course!
If A Bug's Life can knock Antz and The Prince Of Egypt out of the minds of moviegoers, Toy Story have no rivals to forget!
The King and I (1956)
THE BEST "KING" OF THEM ALL!!!
There have been so many versions of "Anna & The King Of Siam", starting with the 1947 version with Irene Dunne & Rex Harrison, but, none would match the 1955 version, the first as musicialized by Rogers & Hammerstein. Yul Brenner IS THE KING, and will always be one!
Best viewed on DVD, in letterboxed!!!
Introducing Dorothy Dandridge (1999)
THE HBO MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!!
Halle Berry is giving the performance of her life, as Dorthoy Dandridge, in this, The HBO Movie Of The Year! Well worth grabbing loads of Emmys for her, Klaus Maria Bransdaurer, and the movie, when the 2000 Primetime Emmys rolls around!!!
Knock Knock (1940)
WOODY WOODPECKER'S DEBUT!
Although it's was an Andy Panda cartoon, it's more noted for the debut of Walter Lantz's greatest creation, and one of the most famous cartoon stars ever, Woody Woodpecker. A Must-See!
Jackie's Back! (1999)
A Delightful Mockumentary!
With cameos by the hundreds, and going downhill in the last 20 minutes, this one beat the Ruttles mockumentary by the mile!
Show Biz Bugs (1957)
Friz Freling's Bugs Vs. Daffy Masterpeice!!!
And, this one shows that Bugs can even outsmart Daffy again, even if it's from different directors!
This one is my favorite Bugs Vs. Daffy cartoon from Friz Freling!!!
Yankee Doodle Bugs (1954)
The Warner Bros. Cartoon "Old Glory" Should've Been!
Because of Bugs itself, this is what makes American History, the Warner Bros. way, really is!!! Far superior to Chuck Jones' 1939 "Old Glory", in sound, in Technicolor, in Carl Stalling's music, and in laughs, from start to "That's All, Folks!"!!!
Water, Water Every Hare (1952)
A Sequel To "Hair-Raising Hare"...
...Which proven again, that Bugs Bunny HAVE disposed of the monster, once and forever! The slo-mo chase is a Classic!!! So does the shrinking of the monster, and the ending!
His Hare Raising Tale (1951)
ONE OF MY FAVORITE BUGS BUNNY CARTOONS EVER!!!
What makes this one of my two favorites Bugs Bunny cartoons ever (The other is "Rabbit Hood", but, that's another story), is of the use of recycled footage of Bugs Bunny cartoons made in the 1940's. The Technicolor in the "Falling Hare" excerpt is by far superior to those "Public-Domain" prints we seen those days. Not only this 1943 Bob Clampett cartoon is use, but, also of two Chuck Jones Bugs cartoons ("Rabbit Punch', and "Haredevil Hare" [which introduced Marvin Martin to the Looney Tunes gang]} and Freling's own Bugs cartoons ("Stage Door Cartoon" and "Baseball Bugs"). The reason for this cartoon is made, is because very few Bugs Bunny cartoons have been reissued before the Mid-1950's (Surprising enough, the print we see in this cartoon is from a Late-1950's reissue, which by that time, the cartoons that was excepted is under different copyright ownership). Although it's the only Bugs Bunny that use recycled footage, the success of this (Doesn't everyone know that Bugs is still popular today than it was when this cartoon was released?) help proved Warner Bros. to make several more of this concept, until their original cartoon studio closed in 1963. This cartoon, because of its concept, and its star, and of the clever work of Friz Freling, as always, is highly recommended.
Rabbit Hood (1949)
MY FAVORITE CHUCK JONES BUGS BUNNY EVER!!!
Forget "What's Opera, Doc?"!!!
This is THE Chuck Jones Bugs Bunny cartoon that I admired the most!
The reason for it, is of the ending, which use two short snips from the Errol Flynn Classic, "The Adventures Of Robin Hood", to Classic Use!
Chuck Jones & Michael Maltese ought to give the public thanks for that one instead!!!
Baby Snakes (1979)
I don't care what Leonard Maltin said!
Filmed at the Felt Forum Halloween shows in 1977, this mixture of concert performances and Bruce Bedford's clay animation footage is well worth seeing best in its original 3-hour version, rather than the 90-minute version Zappa re-edited in 1984.
Run Home, Slow (1965)
FRANK ZAPPA'S MUSIC THE ONLY REASON WORTH SEEING!!!
This cheesy western is worth seeing, if only for Frank Zappa's music alone (Which including an early version of one of his best-known songs, "Duke Of Prunes")! So, forget the plot, and enjoy the music!!!
The True Story of Frank Zappa's 200 Motels (1988)
A GREAT COMPANION TO THE MOVIE!
Well-made and well-told behind-the-scenes look at the making of his 1971 film, "200 Motels". Best moments including the firing of Jeff Simmons, and the replacing of Martin Licket in the role of Jeff. Excellent companion to the movie itself!
