Castle (2009)
CASTLE spin off
The last 4 episodes of CASTLE in season 5 have featured Kate as the focal point. This could lead to a new series about Kate in Washington as a top Federal Agent. Are we ready for another "Cops and Robbers"Show? There are too many on TV now. So another would be BORING! Starting with the episode "STILL" where Kate finally announces that she loves Castle after 5 years together, she then in the next episode with Eric, the womanizer, almost allows herself to be seduced by him.In the final 2 episodes the writers show her starting to get interested in a career and life change. All of these facts show me that Beckett is only concerned about herself. The break-up of the 12th Pct. team will doom the show Castle and lead to the KATE Beckett show. I have seen every episode of the show since it started in 2009. The 4 years of "will they or won't they" and the solving of murders by the team at the 12th Pct.was very entertaining, but the the show started to slip in the 5th year. The show started to turn into a "Soap Opera"with every episode blending into the next this one. All of this leading to the question of whether Kate and Rick are really committed to each other.
Guadalcanal Diary (1943)
Great realistic movie
This film is one of my favorite ww2 war movies along with Objective Burma and Air Force. The stories about each of the marines as told by the narrator was very effective. The fight scenes are not overdone and gory like the films of today. The one "flaw" that I observed in the picture is that "Chicken" is wounded going after a Japanese sword, but shows up 5 minutes later in the film with not a scratch on him. Did anyone else notice this or am I wrong? Nevertheless the actors are great especially Bendix and Nolan.
Night Train to Munich (1940)
I like these kind of suspense films
The film was very good. I especially liked those two guys who show up in a lot of this type of picture, "Charters" & "Caldicott". What really struck me funny is the scene at the end where all the characters are firing guns at each other. They must have fired at least fifty shots from each revolver without reloading.
Dadetown (1995)
Engrossing film with surprise at the end
I thought that I was really witnessing a true situation. The "stuff' in the film could actually happen in real life and I think that was the creator's point.I have been around for quite a while and have seen this kind of emotion exhibited by the townspeople all too often in some of the strikes and job actions that have occurred. A good film, that I hope sends a message.
