Bartok the Magnificent (1999)
Best Animated Feature I've Seen In A Long Time!
I just finished watching Bartok and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. This movie had all the ingredients for a superb animated feature that so many cartoons these days lack.
The cast was excellent and the whole story was downright hilarious. Hank Azaria as Bartok is a wonderful, loveable and a funny little character people can't help but love. I myself chuckled everytime he opened his mouth. Kelsey Grammer also turns in a great voice performance as Zozi the big bear. The voiceovers are something else to comment on. Very seldom these days do I see cartoons taking time to match up the words of the character with the proper lip movement, but Bartok the Magnificent pulled it off wonderfully.
I can't say enough about this fantastic movie that hasn't gotten enough recognition. I recommend it to people of all ages. There is enough content and humour throughout to entertain adults and the fluent and colourful animation will be awe-inspiring to kids, no matter what their interests are.
Metallica: Cunning Stunts (1998)
"Make the Bad Man Stop..."
A friend of mine lent this video to me and I was fairly excited to watch it, but after ten minutes of James Hetfield's slow pitched vocals and Lars banging on his drum set in what appeared to be slow motion I began to think, `Why am I watching this?' That question will be coursing through your minds in 5 10 minutes after you hit Play. I gave the tape back the same day, as you would suspect, not worth buying or watching!
Just my opinion!
National Lampoon's Favorite Deadly Sins (1995)
Andrew Dice Clay is a Comic Legend
I'm not going to delve into this movie in great depth cause it really does have any great depth to delve into. I can't help but comment on the "Anger" segment of this movie, which had me on the ground laughing my head off for hours after the movie was finished!
As my title suggestions, Andrew Dice Clay is a comic legend, and in this he plays an infuriated husband who has to go out and get his wife tampons. His crude behaviour gets him shot and he goes to heaven and creates a scene then to hell where he calls Lucifer a jack off...hahahahah! Sorry but this is my kind of humour, this movie is worth renting for this small but hilarious segment!
See YA!
Firestorm (1998)
"...Canadian Firefighters, eh!"
This movie was fun! Plain, simple, stupid fun! If you take it any other way of course it's going to become an awful movie in every aspect.
I think everyone has said their piece about this film but I'd have to say the most notable scene in the entire movie, the one scene that had me laughing my head off, was when the bad guys pretended to be Canadian Fire-fighters. I live in Canada and I'll guarantee we don't talk like that! It was definitely a funny scene, worth renting just for that scene alone! HAHAHA....
Orgazmo (1997)
Bringing back to good old 80's!
Personally, I'm a huge fan of 80's comedies, why? Because they were raw, uncut and downright funny. I think Orgazmo and Trey Parker's sense of humour follows this basic track and i love it. It's crude, yet funny, it's downright sick and of course i love it! How can you not? "Bring back 80's comedies!!"
Enjoy...
Sledge Hammer! (1986)
Killer Comedy!
This movie is hilarious from start to finish! I highly recommend this to anyone who has a sense of humour. I truly wish they'd bring this show back cause I love it.
