Initially this film was advertised as being like Waking Ned evine,( another great Irish film )but it is nothing like it. Instead, it was comical in parts, but more dramatic in character development, and really made you feel for the characters. The lead actors were all strong, the visuals were very striking, and the music especially memorable ( I have not been able to find the soundtrack) I loved this film, and to have two boys aged 14 and 16 sit through it and appreciate it, says alot. 10 out of 10.

Just happened to see this on TV late one night, and decided to watch it - First BIG mistake. I could not make out whether it was a theatrical release or made for TV movie - The level of acting (especially Lorenzo Lamas), the dialogue, camera angles and overall production values seemed to indicate TV movie. The only saving grace was Eric Pierpoint as Paddy, who gave such a uniform "ham" performance that it was a real shame that his character had his neck snapped in the last reel ( but what a death scene ! )Why "Blood for Blood" was changed to "Midnight Man" beats me, but here in Australia a Midnight Man was the name given to a person who emptied toilets in the days before sewage systems were in place. Funny, but this seems an apt description of this movie. My rating - 3/10 Fozzie - 5

Anyone expecting to see a horror film of merit, would be better served by not seeing this film. From a very poor beginning, the viewer might be expected to think that this film could only improve. But, unfortunately due to bad script, bad acting and little suspense, this was not to be. It was hard to tell which were the actors and which were the zombies ! I did not expect much, I must admit, when choosing to see this "film" but I was extremely disappointed when it did not even reach 5% of my expectations. To make matters worse, the ending was incomprehensible - I hope that this does not mean that the producers were thinking of a sequel ! My Rating : 0.05 out of 10 ( this rating only achieved, due to the eye catching colour on the film poster - well something had to make me go and see it initially ) Fozzie -5
