Rio Rita (1929)
The seldom shown Kinkajou dance.
The Kinkajou dance lead by Dorothy Lee is a gem. Dorothy Lee has a white 10 gal. hat on an 8 gal. head, curtesy of a prop man with a strange sense of humor, and looks a bit like a mushroom but it only makes the dance more fun as she tries to keep it on. I wish this part was shown more often with the film.
Peach-O-Reno (1931)
Find a copy of this film for a really fun evening.
Just as sure as you can tell your left sock from the right after you wear them for a week, I'm sure you will like this movie, which is filled with laughs and song and dance numbers. The court room scene is a blast and the high light of the film is the song Niagara Falls To Reno performed by Bert Wheeler and Dorothy Lee.
Syncopation (1929)
You cant help but like Dorothy Lee and the music.
This rare film is a must to see if you are a Dorothy Lee fan. She was the last of the flappers and was adorable as Peggy. The story used in the film was plot number seven but 2 cute tunes make you forget that and Morton Downey's voice will blow the wax right out of your ears. News paper hats and army surplus cloths worn by Fred Waring's band will give you an idea of the budget provided for this film and I wont mention the dancing if you don't but its a piece of history I'm glad I didn't miss.
Take a Chance (1933)
Take a chance and see this movie if you can find a copy.
What's to dislike about this movie? Night Owl is a cute tune.Cliff Edwards and James Dunn have a lot of fun. June Knight looks good and Dorothy Lee takes the swivel hip's to a new level. If you can find a copy of this movie you can have an evening of fun.
