WWF Jakked (1999)
An excellent show ...
It is very unfortunate that many of the other WWF wrestling fans that I have talked to find this show to be boring or useless. I find WWF Jakked/Metal to be a very fun show to watch, its always good to see some of the WWF's most underrated talent show what they have got. It is also good to see some talent from smaller independent organizations appear on the show and put on some decent matches with WWF superstars. This show is a very underrated one. In my opinion, sometimes this show can even be better than WWF RAW most of the time, simply because there are no pointless 20 minute interviews or crazy storylines, it is just an regular wrestling show with regular wrestling action. I would much rather watch a Jerry Lynn-Essa Rios match than another LONG Vince McMahon interview.
Profondo rosso (1975)
One of my favorites...
DEEP RED/PROFONDO ROSSO has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. This is definitely Dario Argento's best (in my opinion). The acting is brilliant and the suspence is great. Excellent performances from David Hemmings as the pianist searching for answers, Daria Nicolodi the reporter always willing to give Hemmings a helping hand, Gabriele Lavia as Hemmings alcoholic friend Carlo, and the late Clara Calamai as Carlo's mother. It is a very clever movie, especially the part where Hemmings discovers who the murderer is. Although there are scenes that some people may find boring, sure there is alot more talk than the killer's violent actions but I found nearly every scene to be interesting for we gradually begin to learn about the killer. In a way, DEEP RED is a somewhat disturbing movie, with scenes that may stay on people's minds for quite some time. What I really like about this film is the fact that in combines alot of different elements, it is quite amazing how it can go from something very frightening to something rather funny. Yep, this film also has some scenes that are actually quite humorous, and thats what really makes a great horror/suspence film, the combination of various elements yet the film continues to maintain at that pace without losing that nice touch of horror & suspense.
Dèmoni (1985)
A fun film, not a single boring moment...
I found DEMONS to be a rather interesting film, I didnt think it was a horrible film, but it certainly isn't exactly the best either.
DEMONS is a fun horror film to watch, not a single boring moment at all. Although the acting may not be great and there really isnt much of a story to it besides endless scenes of screaming people and zombies chomping away. There seemed to be more attention focased on the gore effects rather than the actual story and the acting. There were also parts in the film that I found absolutely ludicrious that I almost started laughing out loud, such as the helicoptor that happens to crash through the roof at exactly the right time thus saving our heroes Barberini & Hovey and sending them onto the next scene. Another thing I found amusing was when average young George (Barberini) just suddenly becomes some kind of action hero and starts riding on a motorcycle while killing zombies with a sword. Not exactly realistic, but what the hell, its a horror film. DEMONS may not be one of Argento's best projects, (its certainly no 'Deep Red' an excellent film in my opinion) but if you're bored and looking for a fun & extremely gory film, I recommend that you pick up DEMONS and just see how it is.
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Without a doubt one of the best war movies ever made!
I honestly thought that this movie should have won Best Picture, and I still have no idea why it didn't. When you watch this movie in the theater it is just incredible, almost as if you were right there in battle. It is definitely a movie worth watching over and over. The opening scene (D-Day) was amazing, it gave the audience a really good idea of what these young soldiers had to go through on that day of June 6 1944. I really think that kids now days should watch this movie and maybe then they'll realize that so many young men had died to give them their freedom.
