Taxi (1998)
Fasten your seat belt !!!
When I saw the trailers on tv I was astonished about the chase scene, because I'm a rally driver and I like some "good action" in driving scene.... When I went to the cinema I was prepared to see an high speed film, but I wasn't prepared to the first frames of the film... I enjoyed it !!! I usually liked any Besson work, and hate french films, but this is a good comedy/action one. 70% action + 30% humor: a little budget and no great special effects, but only gags and real action ! Not a masterpiece, but a real entertainment. Like many Italian drivers I like the scene where Daniel (!) make the autovelox falling down on the street by a air movement caused by his car driven at 190KM/H in Marseille roads (with a lot of disappointment of cops). I went there years ago and the film remembered me all the sunny view of that beautiful city. If you like speed and humor, see it !!!
Arrriva Dorellik (1967)
Amazing
Started as parody of a movie line about diabolik and other criminal-action heroes, it goes on and become an example of demential film. The plot is very simple but any minute will cause you to laugh as you took a heart-ache. no special effect, only good humor. Bravo Dorelli ! Impossible to find on VHS-Tape, sometimes in summer it's transmitted on italian video networks, it's a cult movie for any lover of demential films, like me and my girlfriend Alessandra: see it !
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957)
Let's break a spear for it
I will focus my comment on the meaning of a film and the passion of Ed Wood. Many people classify Plan 9 as the worst/best film ever made, perhaps any of them had a good reason to think so, but if there is someone to whom this film gave anything, then this film has the reason to be made. I believe that Ed Wood was great because with no resources and with a lot of work he made his dream real: to make films, following his passion. Many of us spend our life only dreaming of it, instead he did it. Perhaps he hadn't talent, but, as other said here, his result is equal to many other more-budgeted films. When I see Plan 9, I laugh and this isn't what Ed wanted: I like any kind of demential film and I think it's one not to lose !
