the story of a relationship between an actress (catherine wilkening) and a crook (stephane ferrara). he plays with her, she is crazy for him - although he mistreats her.

the weak plot is weaved around several sexual scenes, sometimes near-hardcore.

maybe interesting for voyeurs.

of course this is an action film. it is also about (a little) love, about crime and war. but above all it is about friendship.

everything in this movie is soaked with violence. the main characters seem to define themselves through violence. that's quite disturbing. and the final morality can't be found in the rest of the film.

what makes me give a good rating is the formal brilliance and elegance for a film of this category. only the sound mixing could have been done better: the repeated musical themes often start disturbingly abrupt.

all in all entertainment that goes deeper.

a mixture of action, martial arts and mythology (better: fantasy). none of the genres is worked out consequently. the film uses special effects that remind me of japanese trash movies of the sixties (although the film has clear 80s elements such as the fast action editing). the characters are quite simple and not very elaborated. the story makes itself relative: it is all told at a party: all in all just a joke to show off.
