Get on the Bus (1996)
Wonderful character study
With the million man march as a motivational backdrop, a bus full of black men and a European-Jewish driver head off to DC from LA. Spike plays round and round with stereotypes, archetypes, and everything in between in this sharp character study.
Sherman's March (1985)
Ground-breaking pseudo-documentary
I say pseudo under the definition of pseudo-event--I think that is Boreman? Anyway, hilariously real account of a romantically experienced and entangled male going back into the past. A lot of future film makers-documentary folks have claimed this in their verbal bibliographies. Check it out!
Beautiful People (1999)
british beauty
if you liked american beauty this movie has a similarly beautiful-there really aren't enough english words for beautiful-message-yet the similarities end there--this drama about several bosnian refugees in london is full of people with problems-british and bosnian alike-full of the very modern idea of multiple story-character storytelling-see it really-ok
