Bad Meat (2004)
Maren Lindow Delivers Again....No big surprise
I saw this movie mostly because I'm a huge Maren Lindow fan. I was not disappointed. This role did not give her as much freedom as she had in Jigsaw, but the performance was fresh, honest and brilliant. I will look forward to her next production. The movie was very funny. Chevy is Chevy and if you looking for a good original film that will truly have you laughing, this is a great way to spend an evening. Bad Meat delivers Good Laughs.

Jigsaw (2002)
Keeping Old-School Horror alive
I liked this movie. It was probably done on a limited budget much like many of the great clasic horror movies, but really captures the great feel that the horror genre was all about. A movie that I would love to see at at drive-in theatre. The monster/Jigsaw was fresh and interesting as were his victims. In particular I found the actress Maren Lindow to be very convincing not to mention perfectly attractive for this type of role. This is a horror picture that does not take itself too seriously that reminds of a time in the 1980's when these type of movies made person scream and then laugh. This movie is well worth a rent.
Don't Say a Word (2001)
Do Say a Word...Crap
This movie is bad. It is predictable and unimaginative. This is a made for TV movie staring Michael (I have not make a good movie since Basic Instinct) Douglas. This was a horrible weekend for movies. Zoolander made cry it was so bad, and this movie made Zoolander look like a masterpiece. Don't pay money to see this in the theater...Don't pay money to rent this movie...Maybe watch this piece when it is released on television because this is where this movie should have started.
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
A punch in the face that you'll enjoy
This movie is a shocking, dark, violent and disturbingly delicious. This is the best movie I have seen this year. As good as I found this movie to be, it is not for everyone. People that like to feel good after a movie will not like this movie. This movie follows the lives of 4 people through the dark and wicked ways of drug addiction. The movie is directed by Darren Aronofsky (Pi). This movie would not be nearly the movie that it is without the fresh and laser sharp editing techniques that Aronofsky uses. If you've seen this movie, you know what I'm talking about. The true gem and centerpiece of this movie is the performance that Ellen Burstyn gives. Her character continues to haunt my mind months after seeing the movie. This is one of the best acting jobs I have ever seen. She is deserving of an Oscar. This movie enters your system like a drug and possesses you for two hours and leaves feeling lousy and craving more just like a junkie. And you thought watching car wrecks was disturbing. This movie is a 10.
