Martín (Hache) (1997)
The best acting group
I'm not going to talk about the plot or the script, no no...that things are really good in this movie but the acting...oh, the actors are incredible. Federico Luppi as always, perfect, Eusebio Poncela, really great, Cecilia Roth, better than in All about my mother (won a spanish award goya by this movie) and the boy, Juan Diego Botto, one actor i don't like too much, is perfect too. The dialogues are terrible, and the actors perfect, what you can expect is a movie where you going to believe every word of the script. Really good. I rated 9/10.
The Matrix (1999)
It's not so good
The Matrix is a good movie, I'm not going to say it's awful. But come on, it's so typical... The story is good, indeed, it has a good beginning, with all the virtual reality things and so, but there's a point in the movie when the script disappears forever. Then the fx conquer the movie and they don't stop. I like fx, they are great in some movies than doesn't have anything like a script, but this movie had one, til the fx appeared. Compare this movie with one I like too much, 12 monkeys. 12 monkeys has a beginning, a script all over the movie and an end. Matrix has only the beginning. So, what disappointed me about this movie is that it was said to be a paranoic movie of virtual reality, and it's finally one more in the fx movies. I'm waiting for the other two titles, matrix 2 and 3, but I only hope they will be the same stuff.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
Romantic film
If this movie is classified as terror, it's ok. If it's classified as romantic, it's better. What I remembered about this movie is all the scenes between Mina and Dracula. The best one is the dinner, with all that background pictures of both characters, and the music, oh, the music in that scene is glorious. I think this movie has errors, and so I voted a 9 instead of a 10, but my feelings about the movie are it's perfect. All the actors are incredible (except, of course, Keanu)and the work of the artist director is perfect. If you haven't seen this film go an watch it, but do not expect a classical terror movie, rather than a romantic film.
