N.H.K ni yôkoso! (2006)
A fantastic anime!
First of all, I just want to say, that this is the first anime I've seen that hasn't been about ninjas, samurai, or action in general. It's a story about life, love, hard times, painful memories, and lost souls. The story focuses on a 22 year old college drop out, who spends all his time cooped up in his room. The longer he stays, the more difficult it is to change. I don't want to give any of the story away, but everyone can relate to these characters. They are real, and their words, and actions genuine. A must see for anyone that has ever questioned themselves, or their existence. Makes you want to tell the world about it!
Legend (1985)
Tim Curry's Greatest!!
This movie is Curry's greatest role ever. His depiction of darkness is masterful. Pure evil in every aspect of the way. The movie itself is decent, but far from good. Tom Cruise is made out to be a hero who is much weaker than Curry. The movie revolves around the good vs evil, or light vs darkness aspects constantly. The fantasy scenery is good, and the music is mesmerizing. You should see this movie only to witness the best evil ever created in a movie, because the other characters and the plot leave you wanting a lot more.
Commando (1985)
The Ultimate Schwarzenegger movie!!!
This is it, the best action movie ever created. From the first minute of the movie to the final scene, the action never stops. More one-liners then all of his previous movies combined! This is one of the few movies that keeps you entertained the entire film. If you're a fan of Arnold, then this is a movie to have in your collection. An action movie for the ages!!!!
Jurassic Park III (2001)
Hollywood Filth
It's hard to find a good movie these days. I mean a really good movie; one you can leave the theater thinking your money was well spent. I haven't felt that way in a long long time. Hollywood lately is simply spewing out movies as fast as possible. Plots, who cares, as long as it makes them money. They're going for quantity and not quality. After watching the movie Jurassic Park 3 (all 1 hour and 20 minutes of it), I was extremely mad. 80 minutes!!!! I didn't know that was even possible. I mean we know the dinos are fake by now, so how can it be scary. I know add Tea Leoni screaming and running around like her head is cut off for half the movie. What were these people thinking
oh yeah the $$. That's all Hollywood cares about anymore. All these sequels that we don't need, Pitch Black 2, Batman 4, The Mummy Returns, James Bond where Pierce Brosnan sleeps with every woman he comes into contact with. It's disgusting what the world is coming to. I admit there are good movies out there, but they're sparse. I don't understand how critics could give movies that are clearly garbage, good ratings. I mean if a movie is done by Spielberg, or Lucas, it automatically adds an extra couple of points to the score. Believe me that if John Carpenter had done A.I. it would have been seen as one of the biggest rip offs. Pinocchio, the movie D.A.R.Y.L., this was practically the same story with somewhat of a twist and lots of special effects. Which brings me to another point. It seems that moviemakers are so caught up in the "effects" of movies they'll use them to an extent, which is extremely overdone. If anyone has seen the preview for Spiderman yet, you'll know, the man looks like a shiny piece of metal. This may be pushing it but the dino's in JP3 looked too real, I mean the spikes on top of their heads were metallic and almost multicolored. Now I know not everybody agrees with me, but I also know that there are a lot of people who do. Frankly we are fed up with going to the movies and seeing crap, and we're not going to take it anymore
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
The Fast and the Furious indeed!!!
What a rush! This is the best movie of the summer, without a doubt. Fast cars and hot girls is the main theme of the movie. So the plot may be a bit weak, and some of the lines are tacky, but I'm talking about non stop action. Great stunts and car chase scenes, along with awesome camera angles. They don't ruin the film with any CGI's, it's all real. After leaving the theater the parking lot was roaring, people were gunning their engines and racing off. I wanted to speed out of the theater doing 140mph...a very excited 9/10
The Mummy Returns (2001)
Great "Summer" Movie
This is a summer movie, It's got tons of action, fighting, special effects, and more. However, if you're the type of person who likes to pick apart every movie you see, then you won't enjoy this. The plot is weak and there are numerous scenes which don't make sense. It's also very predictable. I enjoyed the movie because of the numerous villains, there weren't just the 1 or 2 bad guys, but there were 5 or 6, and each was paired with a different "hero" to fight them. Usually during a movie i check my watch constantly because the movie is boring, this time i kept checking it because i didn't want the movie to end. 9/10
Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000)
Good time to catch some Z's
Usually when I go to the movies with low expectations, afterwards I usually say "pretty good" or "better that I thought". Never have I been disappointed...until now. There is NO action throughout the whole movie. Literally the first half and more is all talking, and nothing else. The cars are awesome, but they show each one for about 10 seconds max. The only one you get to see is a '67 Shelby. You'd think that if people could afford to buy a Diablo, or an XJ220, that they could afford an alarm system, but no apparently they can't. This movie has so many flaws in it, is so predictable, and is just plain boring, it's not worth the time of day. The best part of the movie is the "Jerry Bruckheimer" logo, and that's sad.
Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994)
Awesome
If you like Slapstick then this is the movie for you! Full of sick humor and non-stop laughing that will leave you rolling in the aisles. The best Naked Gun of the series by far!! The funniest movie I have ever seen in my entire life!
