The Civil War (1990)
A Wonderful Documentary
One of my favorite events in American history is the The Civil War, and this documentary is just filled with information. This one of my personal favorite documentaries. The Burn's do a superb job in gathering information. It's very educational and it reveals the harsh reality of one of America's saddest wars.
Superman (1978)
I remember.....
I remeber when I was a little kid my favorite hero was Superman I couldn't get enough of him,but I didn't see this movie until I was thirteen and I loved it it brought back to me memories. Christopher Reeves gives a brilliant portrayal as the "Man of Steel" . It is truly a great action packed adventure extravaganza.
Jaws (1975)
Just one of those movies...
This is just one of those movies where I can't get tired of it brilliant cast, screenplay, and director. It has everything a film can go for it. Set in a small island town called "Amity" that is prowled by a man-eating Great White shark and it is up to the local Police Cheif,an oceanographer, and a grumpy shark hunter to kill it before it kills again. A great film truly a great film
Wait Until Dark (1967)
One of my Favs
One of my favorite films, Audrey Hepburn terrificly portrays a blind woman who unkowingly possesses a doll that has heroin hidden inside and three men who will do anything to get it back. A wonderful script and cast Alan Arkin, who plays a wonderful villian, proves that he can play well in a suspense movie and comedies. Anyways this movie is a must see
The Day of the Dolphin (1973)
A great emotional film
One of my favorite films that really brings out your emotions especially in the end also accompanied with a great musical score. One of George C. Scott's many great portrayals and just simply beautiful.
The Graduate (1967)
A delightful film about young adulthood.
One of my personal favorites with Dustin Hoffman playing a young man fresh out of college pressured to go to a prestige graduate school by his peers, but doesn't really know what to do with his life, like many teens and young adults then and now. It has a great cast,Hoffman,Anne Bancroft,William Daniels, and a then unknown Richard Dreyfuss, and who couldn't think of the "Graduate" without thinking of the music as a personal fan of Simon and Garfunkel the music itself it great. And when you put a great film together with great music you got a masterpiece
Rear Window (1954)
Hitchcock's greatest masterpiece
My personal favorite of all Hitchcock's wonderful films. It stars Jimmy Stewart as a wheelchaired photographer, who takes up spying on his neighbors as a hobby, and the beautiful Grace Kelly as his girlfriend. All is well, until Stewart suspects that one of his neighbors may have murdered his wife. A must see nailbiting suspense movie.
The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927)
Terrific,just a stepping stone to Hitchcock's genius.
A superb Hitchcock masterpiece about a serial killer who kills blonde curly hair girls, and a mysterious lodger who is suspected to be the killer. An excellent movie for those who are into Hitchcock and considering that this movie is his first suspense film.
