War of the Worlds: Goliath Is My Name (1988)
Jill Hennessy
Cute Episode! I wish Jill Hennessy was in it more. She is such a babe. I love the Low Budget Sci Fi feel of this show and at the same time its dark. Jefferson (Eric Bruskotter) is are main villain in this episode. Its a more comedic than menacing performance. But still entertaining and fun. Jared Martin (Harrison Blackwood ) , Richard Chaves (Colonel Paul Ironhorse) Lynda Mason Green (Suzanne McCullough) and Philip Akin (Norton Drake) all do well in there parts as well. The chemistry each episode gets better. Also a very young Rachel Blanchard can be seen. If you are huge Jill Hennessy fan you will disappointed. She was in it for maybe 30 seconds or so. This being very early in her career the acting parts where very small at that time. Even with her brief cameo She still steals the scene.
The Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Decepticons For Ever
"Transformers The Movie" has its good points and bad points like any other movie. The good points, "Cyclonus", "Jazz", "Unicron", "Cliff Jumper", "Galvatron", and Grimlock. The supporting cast won the movie over for me. Mixing the new characters with some of the old was great to see. The battle scene at the end between "Hot Rod" and "Galvatron" is the best fight I have seen in this cartoon series. The element that any Transformer can die makes the fight much more intense. Another Good no Great scene was the "Galvatron" "Starsceam" Confrontation, classic. I will never foget the death of SCREAM.
Now the bad points. "Wheele" "Daniel" "Arcee" "Sharktacons" "Junkion" and The "Quintesson". All of the characters just named were pointless. All of these Characters came out of nowhere. The Cartoon was famous for characters appearing and disappearing. Example Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Ultra Magnus, Springer, there more that I can't think of right now but you get the point. Where is "Omega Supreme" the biggest baddest Transformer of them all? Skyfire awol, and the Arielbots, they must be on vacation during the movie. And clearly Someone hated Kickback and his Insecticon buddies. They Killed the Insecticons about 3 times in this movie.
How could they make Hot Rod the main focus of this movie? Rod is a cool car but no real background story on him. All we no is he is "The One". I guess because he touched the "Matrix" before Ultra Magnus did. Notice the "Matrix" was never in the cartoon series. But suddenly there a Matrix.
Even with the bad plot. This is a great Cartoon movie for its time. But The Robotech series still blew Transformers away.
Beautiful Models (1999)
Intresting Behind the Sceans Movie On Porn
This movie is shot in black white. My guess to make it look real. A young lady reporter is shooting a documentary on the porn industry. You don't see to many porn movies with good plots. Because you really don't need one. But this is very deep in detail, more deep than most porno fans like myself would care to no. You learn the realism kills the fantasy. Drugs, Homo sexuality, run away girls looking for a break in showbiz. This movie gives you a honest view on porno.
The Wisdom of Crocodiles (1998)
Well done Vampire Movie
I was expecting a Violent blood bath of a movie. But instead I got a Great love story. This was well done by director Po-Chih Leong. The female love interest(Elina Lowensohn)was perfect. I cared about her character the whole movie. She is a fine young actress. I hope to see more of her in the future. I like the title of the movie as well. It has a certain ring to it. If your looking for a suspense'ful love story go rent "The Wisdom of Crocodiles, aka "Immortality". Not a lot of action but the story is great. And of curse Jude Law with another cool performance.
