He is maturing as an actor. Well done
9 November 2021
Its a well known fact that Vijay is a well known entertainer but the surprising thing is he is also maturing well as a performer and actor. Good to see his choice of movies. Vijay haters think and criticize that an actor should change his hair style which isn't the formula. An actor should gel with the role and he should make you feel a hands on and make the audience travel along with the film which he is doing it right now. Lorry fight sequence was unnecessary i think but its Lokesh's trademark touch i guess. I don't find any other negatives in the movie. It's well made.

****NOTE**** one suggestion to the directors, please make Vijay fit in the role and speak punch dialogues only if the movie demands and where necessary. Its fine. You should first change your thought that fans always want a punch dialogue and a commercial element. Times have changed. So please do not make any changes to the story keeping Vijay in mind.

lacks the depth

Weak screenplay and scripting makes this film lousy. They could have filmed it in india. I still wonder why most movies are filmed abroad for no reason when they can be done here.

Its a good film. Just a 1 time watch. Before watching the film i thought like it will be super good. but after watching, its a good one time watch. I wonder why this film had so much of hype. this movie lacks something.

Hattrick

I can go ahead and proudly say once again that am a Vijay fan. He is evolving as an actor, yes Bigil is a head turner. I thank Atlee for taking a lot of feedbacks from his previous films and has almost given a better product. he has connected well with the audience. When i was watching Mersal and Theri, i felt, like why is Vijay shouting and increasing his voice unnecessarily in many places where he had to actually talk normally. . That has been corrrected here. Hero worship only where necessary. Fitted well and u can see the audience reaction, Theatre explodes at the right places. This is how a film should be. feeds everyone. One of the best films of the year. The only thing i hated was the romantic portions. The way Atlee spoke, and with Vijay Nayanthara's onscreen persona, biggest letdown. that was the only disappointment. i dont want to give any spoilers here. And now yes the one and only Vijay, shines brilliantly in the 1st half and has finally taken a back seat in the second half letting the story show up and goes with the flow of the film. Thats a good move from Vijay. Enjoyed watching the film thoroughly. I should definitely compliment Rahman. there were days when i used to think why isnt Rahman using a proper BGM for Vijay's films. i know his previous films with Vijay were commercial pot boilers, but still why isnt he giving his best for Vijay. For people who think so like me, Watch Bigil, Best original quality BGM by rahman. He has sat throughout the composing for the first time i think .

************* Pls dont listen to reviews. Just go and sit, enjoy the film with your family. You wont be disappointed*********************

Are you Serious Shankar sir?
20 September 2019
Man am ur biggest fan for decades. Yes ur theme is right. whatever u r trying to convey in the movie yes, i totally agree with it. Everyone who watches the movie does agree if they ask their inner conscience. But did u actually justify Pakshi's death? u made a clown out of him, just because u want to highlight the Robot. What a movie full of nonsense. Where's ur humanity? U r not even creating a proper background or an emotional connect with a great one like Pakshi. U just finish his character in a song. I just cant believe u are still making movies like this. I have grown watching Indian , mudhalvan, gentleman , kaadhalan, Jeans, anniyan to name a few. Where's that Shankar? and now u make movies like I, Endhiran, and 2.0. seriously????????????? just because u want to spend money in CG to keep up with ur name? Do u think people watch ur movies just for ur CG? Time to change ur thinking. People still expect more strong message oriented movies with a strong script and not ur CG. Even if ur movies dont have CG, we will still watch it provided u give us something worth to watch for. not cartoons hero worship films like these.

Expected more
20 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love the script, expecially the thing about humans. Yes we are the most selfish beings on earth and we doomed the planet. we infest the planet for our greed, the greatest traitors. I feel the same too after watching those scenes and most of them would agree if they ask their inner conscience, but when u try to make such a big statement u have to justify it with proper flashbacks or examples. its all made in a single statement and u dnt give time for people to even think about it. thats were u failed to connect. Amzing CGI, loved the king . i hope u come with a better plot next time.

Sharpest Forever

Milestone movie from ARM who showcased the actor in Vijay to his best. It has a core plot. strong cast, much deserved songs & BGM by anirudh, excellent cinematography, song choreograpthy was exceptionally done, Spine chilling action sequences and that hero worship mass moments placed at the right spot that fitted well in the film . Its a perfectly designed, scripted and tuned movie by ARM and Vijay who drove it to success.

Boring
31 March 2019
I still dont have a clue how it managed to get such a rating. Whatever concept whatever creativity u show a film has to keep the audience glued. I am not even interested in a science exhibition or a techno world that puts people to sleep except for the BGM which scares the heck out of people at places. I dnt know what they are for and they still call it BGM. i expected something interesting. And totally fails

Feel pity for the haters
8 March 2019
I dont know why so much hatred for this movie. people just dont get confused with the crap reviews that u see by haters here. Just watch the film as a marvel fan. Marvel hasnt let you down. It 's one another roller coaster ride. I usually dont qoute any spoilers from the movie.

Honestly 1 thing i didnt like about the movie is Brie Larson. Am sorry. i did thouroughly enjoy the movie as usual , but for the first time i was not able to connect with the film emotionally at times. That emotion that feel was missing with Brie. Why didnt you manage to find someone like "Scarlett Johansson" in the first place??. May be thats the reason for so many negative reviews. People have connected well with each and every marvel superhero starting from Chris Evans to the least Zoe Saldana though she is not the best looking girl in the marvel universe. But still people have connected really well and accepted everyone equally. But this is your first independent female superhero film. Marvel wake up. i would like to hint something which i felt. Wonder Woman was such an attraction only because DC managed to sign in Gal Gadot. Yes, accept it or not she can do everything that Brie Larson has managed to do in the film, but at the end of the day who looks the best on screen???? Gal Gadot was the better looking girl on screen. Ben Affleck is the most successful actor who has donned the role of BATMAN and has been accepted widely by most of the audience. Thats the kind of attention an actor can bring to the character. Its not just about BATMAN. its about who plays BAT. Marvel you might have your reasons for casting Brie. She is talented, no doubts. But she couldn't connect most of the time. she was entertaining on screen. At the end of the movie she failed to create the much needed impact and connection before the release of Avengers: EndGame. May be Endgame has the answer. who knows. lets wait and watch. This is only my point of view.

As far as the movie is concerned. its great by all means. Captain Marvel is powerful, strong and keeps you engaged and thrilled with some spine chilling action just like all other Marvel movies. It definitely has raised the expectations for Avengers: Endgame.
