Daybreak: 5318008 (2019)
Worst episode yet
This show has had a lot of low points, but this? This is the lowest one.
Its very clear that the character narrative of the episode was held up really weak because its based on a character who doesn't talk. This isn't the worst thing but the episode relies on him heavily and he just doesn't hold up with the way its written. He isn't unenjoyable as a character entirely but this episode is just bad. This also one one of the less plot heavy episodes (given there still is plot) so you would think they would focus on other aspects, making crank up the fear factor or maybe make it more lighthearted but nope, it's just meaningless plot for the most part
Daybreak (2019)
this show is interesting and kind of worth watching but...
This show is quirky and enjoyable to watch(for the most part), this show also way be disturbing for some people, the main problem is every episode they focus entirely on the character's narrative which is interesting and definitely entertaining its not traditional way of story telling is cool but ultimately its downfall. Every episode has dedicated to the plot and its very problematic when the story is entirely derived of these characters not to say they are bad but there's only so much you can do with these characters, there's an entire episode where its based off a character that doesn't talk and just wasn't worth watching but you have to because all episodes hold plot points to a certain extent so you can't even skip over it. The character narrative also gets old really fast, Forgetting this there are plenty of wins, lots of character narratives are good this show also can give a few laughs here and there, the ending isn't the greatest. thats pretty much the main things I can say without spoilers
Devilman: Crybaby (2018)
i know i'm late but there's what i have to say
This show may have weird animation, but that's only for the minor moments, the crucial moments have tons of detail so stop saying the animation is bad, also this contains lots of nudity...This show has been the pioneer fory gory anime being published, manga with gore rarely got published into full on anime, this was changed when devilman came to publish the like of shows like goblin slayer into anime. the show's plot point is also a bit slow up until 6, you still shouldn't skip to 6 though. The conflict, the plot, and the villain are all big reasons you should watch the show. the character's progressions in this netflix feature are nothing to laugh at as well especially Ryo
Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V (2014)
highs and lows
This show was amazing for seasons 1 and 2, season 3 however was rotten they abruptly end the series by cramming 3 arcs into a season(all the shows get around 3 seasons) along with that one of the arcs had only 9 episodes iirc.the first 2 seasons were great because they explore this person who was interesting because he dueled for enjoyment and fun, along with that season 1 included agreeably one of the best fights in all of YGO with a plot twist and a suspenseful fight, its a shame they ruined this series
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
10 excluding the not as great eggs
Lots of these are interesting/action packed, not all of them are great, especially the comedy ones... if you plan to look for comedy the best one is three robots, being the most visually appealing along with good humor. the main problem is all of these have twists, which some of these are predictable such as mirror's edge(although that wasn't a bad short) and some of these make you feel like they deserve a spin off series which i believe was what Netflix was planning to do if they weren't all concluded, shooting a few ideas in the dark and see if they hit seems logical, if not they do have a season 2 in plan so maybe the following episodes would be transitioned there, all of the shorts are animated differently and feel different from each other(besides its dark nature)
