Ed, Edd n Eddy: If It Smells Like an Ed (2002)
Not a fan, but I don't NEARLY hate it as much as the others do
First I should clarify that people, especially fans of Ed, Edd n Eddy, are not a fan of torture-porn episodes. Where characters are constantly being attacked by others in vicious ways.
This episode has a feel of a torture porn, but it's not really as much of one as say "Your Ed Here" or "Smile for the Ed" are.
The story to this episode is actually kind of OK, but it is predictable who set the Eds up. And the episode does involve the Kankers at the end. But unlike other episodes that do end with the Kankers, this one does try to weave them into the plot better.
The episode does have a few funny moments including Ed specifically. Where he gets his feet hurt and eats and an entire log. Never fails to amuse.
If I had to guess, I would say people originally didn't like the song at the beginning. But once the movie ended with that song, now it brings people a sense of nostalgia.
So why do people hate this episode THAT much? I think people just really hate the character of Jimmy. Yes, he is a little brat who is best friends with arguably the most annoying character of the show. But to his defense, he did deserve to get revenge on Eddy. After all, Jimmy was just trying to bring peace until the Eds, the protagonists, came along and one of them gave him a wedgie. This completely humiliates Jimmy as the other kids laugh at him.
Knowing how Eddy is, Jimmy rightfully sought to plot a revenge tactic against him. But one of the problems with this episode for me and for others is kind of like in the Halloween special. Where one character does something to hurt another character, but the other two Eds are the ones either only or as well being punished for it. Ed and Double D did nothing wrong here. It was Eddy who decided to humiliate Jimmy out of nowhere.
There's also something else that bothers me near the end. Something about the delivery of, for example, Sarah and Kevin's lines make them seem like they're apart of the plot. Were they unaware of Jimmy's plan the whole time? Because their acting almost makes me believe that they were.
Also I'm not really a fan of the whole jube jube joke. I didn't particularly laugh it with and with Rolf eating them. I only really giggled when Ed swallowed them up like a vacuum cleaner.
And finally, I think I would have revised the ending so that Ed and Double D are allowed to be free and Eddy pay the consequences. I think I would have dropped out the Kankers entirely and make it so that Eddy pays the consequences for what he did to Jimmy. After all, it only makes sense that the characters who intentionally harass others get what they deserve in the end.
Also other gags I love are Nazz being flown into the air off the trampoline and seeing Jimmy slip on the banana peel at the end.
And that's really about it, I have no real animosity for this episode like these guys do who will probably attack me for this review.
It may come across as episodes like the Foster's Home Bendy episode or the Spongebob Pal for Gary episode, but I don't see it as bad as those episodes. Eddy did something nasty to provoke Jimmy. He got what he deserved even if the other two Eds didn't.
Keep in mind, your protagonists are scammers in which some of the scams legit hurt the other kids. And about Jimmy, it was later revealed that it was the Eds who were responsible for ruining Jimmy's teeth.
Who are the real villains here?
Everybody lol.
The Plot Against the President (2020)
Don't Listen to the Left-Wing, Trump-Deranged Extremists
A lot of the documentary's focus is on General Michael Flynn. And when you hear this film's side of the story, it all comes together and makes sense. Obama wanted to warn Trump about Flynn to get Flynn out as Flynn knew about their plans to take down Trump. There was NO Russian collusion in the 2016 election. It was all a false narrative to try and get Trump out of power.
How did he win?
Trump and Clinton were so unpopular that it garnered more third-party votes for those like Gary Johnson and the Green Party. Thus, it took votes from Clinton and Trump was able to win the blue states up top like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
People hate the truth the most, and that's why the rating here is rather low. The truth is the media and Comey are all little pawns for Obama's operation.
Check it out and read the book, too.
Superior Duck (1996)
It's Pretty Flat
There's not much substance in the writing, although it does manage to capture the old late 50s, early 60s Looney Tunes style well. After all, Chuck Jones did direct it. However, the short feels very phony, feeling the need for cameos and the reuse of old story pieces and gags. Even something for Looney Tunes, this cartoon doesn't make sense. If only all of the cameos were taken out and it was a sequel to Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century, it would've been better. In the end, it's a bit torturous to watch but will not leave much of an impact at all.
