Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
A solid attempt
This movie has some redeeming qualities but over all was a miss for the franchise. What they did right was try to somewhat follow the story of the video games. The nostalgic scenes shot for shot from video game to this movie were pretty awesome.
What they did wrong was try to squeeze two stories from two separate games into one movie with a fairly low budget. There were too many characters and too much going on at once, making the story feel rushed and yet the movie itself dragging on. I believe if they would have spent all their time and energy in the mansion and kept to the original a bit more, they would have made a much better movie. Should really have focused on character development.
It just felt like they were wanting to throw a bunch of characters in this movie much like justice league did. There was no build up or hype around the characters. I got to the point I just wanted the movie to end because I was just bored.
Maid (2021)
Horrible
Really bad character development and overall bad writing. The main character is the least interesting in the show which makes for a very slow, dull painful viewing. It's not the actress, just the writing. The acting is fine but these characters are just so painfully forced.
Holmes & Watson (2018)
Bad Movie? On the Contrary
This movie was hilarious, I don't know why it received harsh ratings. People take comedies too seriously and lack imagination. Holmes and Watson isnt at the level of Talladega Nights and Step Brothers but still has some great humor in it. If you are wondering if it is worth watching then the answer is YES.
