Dune: Part Two (2024)
The creepiest character in this movie is an unborn baby
I don't know how to explain it because the first one was pretty enjoyable and kind of just fine, but when I was on my way to see this one, I was super hyped and excited. The spectacle was very spectacular, everything was bigger and cooler.
This franchise just knows how to suck you in, you just believe everything on screen, the different cultures, the science, the languages, just EVERYTHING. I found this movie to be more creepy and eerie than the first one and it was perfect, I just loved it.
The movie still was very long and they really took the time to do everything right, even that at times it feels like anti climax, it was just fun listening to the small conversations. But overall it doesn't really matter what I say, you'll watch it anyway because it's Dune.
Thanksgiving (2023)
I don't know how they managed to make a scene so stupid, funny, sad and scary all at the same time.
Okay, let's start with the scene in the supermarket at the beginning. I just don't have the words to describe how I felt about it. Like I said in the title, it was too many contradicting things, I didn't know if it was real or not or if I should even care about these characters. But one thing, the gore was pretty horrific, that made me feel sad that people died so brutally for such a stupid cause...
That's basically the whole movie I guess, great gore, stupid circumstances. I liked the premise of having a Scream movie, but instead it's on Thanksgiving. The killer was too obvious I thought it couldn't be him, but I was wrong, I don't know if it was a good twist or not because of that.
Over all, if you haven't seen a lot of movies or if you are coming to see this movie for gore, you wouldn't be disappointed.
Poor Things (2023)
Not what I expected
When I first saw the posters for the movie and when I discovered that Emma Stone is the lead, I knew I wanted to see this movie for its vibes and tones. I think I saw only one teaser for it (because I didn't want to ruin my experience of it) and wanted to see it so bad. This movie also just came out in my country like a few days ago, and I saw how many good reviews it has gotten. Lets talk about the movie now:
At first I was very intrigued and curious, I didn't expect it to get so sexual so fast and so drastically. I was pretty fine with the Sex scenes because they did contribute to the plot. But at some point it kind of got to the point where the movie was more about these sexual part than the dark comedy part and about the metaphor this movie presents, which one of the characters, Harry, brings up at some point.
I also think that not just because a movie is so different and eccentric it must be amazing, because that's what I feel it is with this movie. I understand people do like it, like my friend I went to see it with, but I don't know if it's ahead of its time or behind of its time. Overall I think I kinda liked it but I will have to watch it again with the understanding of what's about to come, pun intended.
ABBA Voyage (2022)
Unimaginable, emotional and none like anything you've ever seen
It was so special and so cool to see them on stage like this, it was like they were actually there and it was PERFECT... The smart use of lights and mirrors and screens was so imaginative, special and helps to get you in the classic ABBA mood!! GO SEE IT NOWWWW.
Lakewood (2021)
Really don't get everyone
The movie was really good and interesting (I mean by that it's all Naomi Watts at her best)... the movie is very cool in a very artistic way and people that got disappointed just expected something else, so come for this movie emotionless and you'll be surprised!
The Office (2005)
HILARIOUS
Before I started to watch it I said to myself "of the first episode is funnier than the first episode of Seinfeld I'll keep watch it instead (because it just got to Netflix) and it was HILARIOUS!
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Really fixes all the plot holes and problems with the last one
I think this is maybe my top three best DCEU movie this far, the movie from 2017 with fine but it was missing something... And this one gave us exactly what the theatrical didn't. Bigger picture, each main character gets their moment (in Cyborg's case a few) and also it gave us finally the seventh member that we wanted to see!
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Another James Gunn MASTERPIECE!!!
When they announced the movie I wah so hyped to see what changes are they going to make into the movie and they really delivered with all the things they said in the announcement trailer! The movie was amazing, funny, full with awesome action scenes, sad when it needed to and full with great DC characters!!! (Some I knew and some that were new to me) Really, go see it as fast as you and on IMAX!!!!
Ready Player One (2018)
Why I think it's a great movie
Although people said it wasn't very good because there was no plot and other stuff, I really loved ot because the actors did a really good job and it's like a party for pop culture fans!!! It was really fun to watch even for like the 10th time!! Recommended to gamers and movie lovers...
