There is some progress that can be made

Overall The show was not too bad. The main characters need a bit a character development but the supporting characters were the stars of the show. I enjoy Max as a main character, I just think that he was a bit detached from his wife( who probably dies) for someone with his kind of zeal for life... seems inconsistent.

Helen is great as a character. I do think that her character development what a bit messy. We can see the chemistry she has with max, but it was not made clear. Her story line was missing details on he ex who passed away as well as what happened to her getting donor sperm etc. Now it seems like she will become Max' new romantic interest and there are alot of loose ends there.

Dr Bloom as a character was great. I like how she disappeared for most of the season and then just rocked up on the last episode. I would have loved the rest of the characters to keep her alive, especially Dr Raynolds. Not sure about their Romance, I think the writers want to rekindle it in the second season. I think that is s man treats you the way Dr Raynolds treated her after they had such a close 'friendship'. Any self respecting woman would never go back. Unless its a part of her brokenness. No Georgia No. i don't think I was ever really sold on Georgia and Max' Romance. I mean they had a lovely story they told about how they met and how they got married, but it just never felt real. Max is such a bubbly, emotionally invested character at the hospital and there is just no resemblance of that with Georgia. I'm sorry to say it, but I think she should get killed off. That would create a bit of interest in the development of Max. Single Dad. Cancer Patient. Runs the Hospital. etc. Dr Iggy is my 2nd favourate character. He is a great doctor, A Dad, and a gay men( who humanises gayness) and a character that grows throughout the 1st season. He is the only character that has successfully demonstrated internal conflict throughout the season. ps. I really wish they could allow the internal conflict to fester and turn into something new. Like him going to therapy himself. Dr Kapor is my ultimate favourate. i just thoroughly enjoyed his father son barista relationship. I think this relationship created the best display of relational conflict and internal conflict. It shows the stigma around recovery drug addicts with in their family as well as recovery dreamers with in their families. It Illustrates how we are more likely to show empathy to strangers rather that someone close to us. I love the barista and son relationship and would have loved to see more of that unfold.

Overall this season has a lot of potential and just needs to have the story lines build momentum throughout all the episodes and not fall flat on ep1 and then its full tension in ep2. Congratulations to the cast and crew and everyone involved. I hope the second season will hit it out of the park. ps. I really love your emotional moments especially with Helen.

Why did this have to end?

I really enjoyed this show. The premise of having a small city with genius residents is really original. I enjoyed the characters choice and cast a lot.

The only beef I have with the show is that this dude who is the self confessed idiot/ average Joe of the show turns out to be the smartest guy who solves all the really complex intellectual problems.

I do however enjoy the baseline story with jack and Allison. I think that giving a brief outline of their romance at the end of the 1st season was the driving force for the other seasons. This could have also been the reason why after they had come together the series couldn't continue for long unless they created another 'future' worth waiting another 5 seasons for. i.e. the 5 getting back to the original timeline 10 years later.

The other Romances with in the series were not explored enough I think. I really love Joe and Zane could have had a bit more screen time. They were to me the most passionate couple in my humble opinion.

Henry and Grace are my favourate couple. For people who just met in the original timeline Grace was convincing as a wife and companion in the story-line. Just breath taking. Henry is my ultimate favourate character from the 1st episode. My Genius Mechanic.

Fargo and Holly this was the best explored relationship considering it only began at the end of the 4th season. I enjoyed it all :) until the end.

Zoe and the high school boy was really unfinished. I would have loved to see a teenage breakup in eureka. That could have been a fun time.

I do think that a part of my mind was still thinking about the alternative timeline which they were taken from on founders day. Just wondering where the people in that timeline think they have gone to and how that played out.

I love the science and technology progression. The concept of an isolated space for the advancement of great ideas at the hands of the smartest people on earth.

One character addition that could have made this town more legitimate for me, Is having people from all over the world. So that Eureka can truly be the most advanced city on earth. Now that the US army is no longer in charge of it, this could be realized.

Hope you watch the show if you have not, it is great. Thanks to the creators and all involved. This was desert.

grateful the story exists

As a person who had no idea of the protests in china, this was enlightening. I think that the purpose of the story was to inform viewers such as myself of the event.

As a viewer who did not know what I was in for, this was really good. I enjoyed the Narration of the story. It could have been more impactful from the perspective of the Chinese character Zhang Lin. It really felt like the beginning of an american story instead of the conclusion of a Chinese story.

As for the comments on the lingual inaccuracies, I think it must be challenging for the directors to find the exact dialects... so I'm not really bothered by that.

When it comes to the acting I really enjoyed the acting. I think it was not overdone. I think american shows overact sometimes and there was just enough tension for me to stay interested throughout the series.

I do think that as a viewer I was a bit taken by Tessa. I really enjoyed Sophie Okonedo's performance. I know it was not a main character, but I think is worth mentioning.

Overall, Bravo!! would love for the story to get a second Season or a Part 2 Thank you to the entire team for telling this story.
