Neer Paravai (2012)
This Seabird Soars High
I've watched this twice and that was many years ago. Still cherish the movie a lot. This was the time when Vishnu gave back to back contend and performance oriented films improvising his skills with every new one. Seenu Ramasamy not just wrote the tale of an Arulappasamy and Esther, but he took us in to the Fishermen Village. The people and their lives were etched straight into celluloid.
A strong screenplay, Good performance by the leads and an undeniable soundtrack by N. R. Raghunanthan(His best album till date).
Dear Comrade (2019)
A tale of Love and Camaraderie
Initially the movie goes through a lot of Students Union Issues and building up political tensions making you feel stressed out of the imminent tragedy about to happen. Though that comes much later and before that you get to experience some of the most beautiful songs of the past few years. The movie is not a political thriller. But a much more social issue is told under-layered with a beautiful love story and a soulful performance by Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandana. Their Chemistry is magical.
The movie shows us not just the under privileged but the members of upper middle class also fail and fear to come out in open.
Loved the movie, The frames, The Songs and the characters. Thanks a lot that the hero friends in the movie are not comedians. Every role is well written.
As the movie concludes with Lily's monologue, every person needs a comrade in their life.
