This movie is close but not as good as it might have been. In loads of movies in the same genre, tales of an alternative future, the makers have an urge to over tell the story. For me it is a sign of lack in skill to tell the story in an cinematographic way. Things are said, told or shown too much. The focus is not optimal so the telling becomes an irritating element in the experience. To compare there is movies like "The fifth element", "Underworld", The Matrix" and "Minority Report" etc where the action and momentum in collaboration with acting takes the words out of the mouth of the storyteller. Æon Flux would have been a top 10 movie if it would have been more visual. The story it self is not that good that it needed to be told that properly. Otherwise this movie was grate! I love the format, scenery, design and artistic performance. Nice action choreography. Nice work with the camera though it is little naive from time to time. Cutting and directing is also really good but lacks that little extra. The momentum in the story is OK but also there is moments that could have been better. My overall judgement is that I liked it. I rented it but it will find its place in my DVD-collection really soon. This is one of few movies I will see more than twice.

It is so sad to see a movie with potential to be so bad directed. Loads of actors with potential and fabulous cinematographic footage, well made attributes but no soul. Fighting choreography and cutting was the worse I have seen in long time. The story that could have been interesting was over told and limped due to focus on the wrong things. This movie made me sad in the behalf of the crew that put their soul in to it. I hope that Guinevere Turner strangle Uwe Boll that totally shredded here manuscript in to a totally disaster. Guinevere Turner is a quality writer and Uwe a total disaster as producer and director. None of his earlier movies appeal to any cinematographic admiration from my side. He could do something else than work with motion pictures. My expectations of his upcoming productions are expected to be as bad as any one before. But I hope… deep inside my hart that he will grow, even though his carer shows the opposite, to become better. Not to satisfy me but so he do not destroy more good peoples reputation. I feel sad on the behalf of all that participated in this production tough I thing that most of them would have done a much better performance if the director would be some one else… or if there was no director.

Silcon Towers is one of the worst movies I ever set my eyes on. Nothing bad to say about the actors efforts but directing and cutting is a disaster. It feels like the movie was made by a group of first year movie making students. The plot is actually grate for a classic crime/action movie and the actors did a fairly good job. My first thought was that the movie was cut by a drunk. While looking I found out that it probably was to save the movie due to bad direction. Save your bucks on this movie. Save your time. There are thousands of other motion pictures to watch instead of this. To take en hour and half time to clean the house, take care of the kitchen, wash the car or what ever is even to consider instead of time waste on this movie.
