The Lucky One (2012)
PREDICTABLE
Enjoyable film but very similar to (Jean Claude Van Damme, No Where Out.) film. As a stranger arrives with a secret. Befriends a single woman with a child. Jealous ex lover who is a cop. Secret is revealed and the rest is history. Entertaining but predictable.
Acting is ok. A ripped Zac Effron plays the lead well. Taylor Schilling is a beautiful actress and every time she was on screen Meg Ryan and Reece Witherspoon kept coming into my head. Definitely a resemblance.
It's a feel good movie, and who doesn't love a good romance as long as not too cheesy. Not quite sure in the end who the lucky one is as in the title. As a man i think it is Zac's character but i am sure the ladies would day Taylors character.
Tales of the Walking Dead (2022)
HIT AND MISS
I have watched 4 episodes so far.
Episode 2 was a waste of electricity.
Episode 1,3 and 4 are decent concepts. Problem they have is the attraction of TWD. Is you grow to love the characters or hate them. But you engage with them. In one hour one offs. Impossible in one hour shows. But that apart they are ok. Never would buy the boxset though.
Episode 3 handles Dee (Alpha) and Lydia because of their story in TWD it was by far the most interesting. However in TWD they met Beta in a building and formed the Whisperers. In this no sign of Beta and met Whisperers differently.
In closing and just my opinion unless you need a Zombie fix look at other options. Thanks for reading.
The Lost City (2022)
Predictable
Predictable Indiana Jones type story. After some lost artefact/city. Bullock was her normal self and Tatum was humerous in parts. But seen the story 100s of times.
