A sequel to political indoctrination
13 October 2020
The London court found that Gore's first documentary An Inconvenient Truth contained nine key scientific errors and the judge ruled that it can only be shown with guidance notes to prevent political indoctrination (see Telegraph 10/11/2007). $300 million dollars later and Al Gore is back even more determined to shape the world. This time he'll be right. My problem with that view is that very well respected professor Hans Rosling came out in his book Factfulness and explained why he refused to become a member of Al Gore's team. In his own words he believed in climate change but he strongly disagreed with Gores exaggerations. See this movie and by all means, read and listen to MIT Professor Richard Lindzen and others say on the political corruption of climate science

Nine key scientific errors
13 October 2020
An Inconvenient Truth puts forth nothing but propaganda. It was challenged in the courts in London when they were trying to force students to watch it. The court found that Gore's documentary contains nine key scientific errors. The judge declined to ban the Academy Award-winning film from British schools but ruled that it can ONLY be shown with guidance notes to prevent political indoctrination (see Telegraph 10/11/2007).

Story of decay
19 June 2020
A story about state of the Swedish society and the western world in general. Consistently politically correct and decadent in the same time. Undertones of a very dark and unintentional comedy but, at it's core this is a nihilistic piece of garbage.

A very underrated horror turns out to be a work of art.
7 May 2007
Is this a horror or a psychological thriller? To me this is a curious study of lust, betrayal and death. The "true story" is often abused term in movie-making. Only, this time there is no abuse, just artistic freedom. Enjoy amazing scenery of a Spain in 1800's and the symbolic details that all have their meaning: the hands, the birds, the nails. The horror is there but in a subtle form and the visuals are very delicate. However, it seems to me that a lot of horror fans are put off by the fact that this movie is a slow-paced one. Yes, it might not scare you even once but it doesn't matter. This time you will be absorbed by the story with amazing visuals and strong cast that turn this movie into a work of art. If you want something unique as an underrated horror movie worth using for studies of photography look no further. Based on that fact alone it's worth 9 out of 10.

Miami Vice (2006)

A letdown
27 April 2007
The original Miami Vice was an exiting mixture of great music, fashion and style with two great actors and amazing synergy between them. Now, Michael Mann has made a movie that lets you down in many ways. For the Miami Vice fans it's nothing but a huge disappointment: nothing of the original Miami Vice spirit is preserved. Sonny looks confused and sometimes even lost. The original Sonny was cool, raw and stylish. He was also a bohemian and was sometimes sad and depressed, but never lost. Farrell's acting is typical B class and there's no synergy between the two main actors. As for the music, fashion and style – forget about it. The new Miami Vice is dark, more vice than Miami. Conclusion: Miami Vice promises without delivering. My question is who is it for? The youth of today will find a lot better action movies, while the old fans won't find them self in this one. The original director is after all not enough to recreate the spirit of the original Miami Vice. (5 out of 10)
