It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Carries a Corpse Up a Mountain (2021)
An incredible end to a rushed season.
While I don't think there's much I can say that everyone else hasn't already said, I do think that this episode does an incredible job of providing depth, heartache, and humor to a season that sadly had to be rushed and cut short due to covid.
While it would have been nice (and dare I say necessary) for another episode in between 7 and 8 showing more of Charlie's relationship with Shelley, the one-minute climax of the finale almost seems to negate the sasons flaws- Charlie Kelly hunched over in the mud and pouring rain, fully aware and cognizant of what he had to endure throughout his life, wailing in grief the way a child would over the body bag of a man who he never got to have in his life serves as such a beautifully heart-wrenching performance that it makes up for the lack of... everything. The shorter season, the dropped plot lines, the discomforting pacing- Charlie Day's performance in this episode makes the viewer forget about their criticisms and just feel for a character who they have grown to know and become close with over the course of the shows 15 season run. I think that fact alone is enough to warrant this episode one of Sunny's finest.

watch the dub
This is the first anime i've ever watched to make me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. if you want to watch this series, i 100% recommend watching the english dub. it's perfectly casted, with memorable scenes, wonderful characters, and hilarious one-liners. the unique art style and looney tunes-esque antics tie the show together beautifully into a package of fun and good times.
