Ready to Rumble (2000)
Wanna Wrestle?
This is one of the funniest movies to come along in a while, granted some of the jokes are corny and a few may go too far. If you've got a sense of humor at all and don't take it too seriously, you are going to like at least some of this movie. I have watched it a few times and every time I see, or hear something I missed before. So just relax and give it a chance, you just might find yourself laughing.
Miss Congeniality (2000)
Those had better be candy dishes
I usually am not a real big S.B. movie fan, but this time she has a good one. This movie is actually funny, with some touching moments for those of you who like that sort of thing. Sandra B. plays both sides equally well, from the die hard FBI agent to the knockem dead beauty it would take to win the crown. The supporting cast works well and the humor is genuine, Sandra Bullock has a hit and a new fan.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)
laugh out loud
I thought this movie was great, mainly because it is not like any other movie out there. The humor is everywhere, if your paying attention and not being too critical... you should be laughing. I like movies that actually make you laugh, not make you feel like you should laugh just because it's supposed to be a "comedy". "O Brother" works, although I did feel sorry for the cow. I highly recommend this movie.
Charlie's Angels (2000)
You gotta be kidding me!
I have trouble believing that Big name talents such as Bill Murray, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, not to mention some of the rest of the cast could make such a horribly, unfunny picture. This has got to be the dumbest movie I have ever seen, notice I said DUMB, not funny and whats with the "villian", Crispin Glover rubbing a piece of one of the "angels" hair all over his face? This dvd wouldnt even make a good Frizbee. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Meet the Parents (2000)
Extremely Funny
Meet the Parents is a very funny film, I saw it not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, De niro and Stiller work together well and the story is definately believable. I mean, meeting your potentially future inlaws can be pretty...let's say, uncomfortable. So I'm sure a lot of us guys can relate to some of Mr. Fokkers feelings about meeting the parents. Meet the Parents Is worth seeing.
