Drag Heals (2018)
Amazing series
I got a chance to watch Season 3 early via Gay Romance Reviews and Season 3 is as good as the others. The Border2Border reality shows are the only ones I watch anymore. Instead of making me feel depressed by watching people scheme against each other in manipulated situations, this show gets me emotionally invested in the people involved and I share in their hopes and dreams as they work to become the people they are meant to be. The focus here is on each person digging into their life and creating the drag persona that embodies who they want to be and what they want to share with the world. It encourages the viewer to do that exploration for themselves as well.

Many delights in this one
I had been curious about this since I saw it available for streaming and when offered the opportunity to review it for Gay Romance Reviews, I jumped at the chance. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased it. There were lots of things I enjoyed but three things made me purchase it to watch again. First, the personality of Pat Rocco and his enthusiasm for making movies was infectious and a joy to watch. Second, it was wonderful to know that during those times, he was making films where gay characters were in love and happy rather than as they were depicted in so much fiction of the time as having to die, be the villains or have other awful things happen to them. Finally, I lived in LA during several of the years depicted in the films and the biographical parts about Rocco's life and it was surprisingly moving to relive those times through the shots in this film. A joy to watch all the way around.
Dating Unlocked (2022)
Hooked this non-reality show viewer
Really enjoyed this series and I haven't watched a reality series in decades, lol. The description of the various episodes and the variety in types of relationships people were looking for drew me in and I was not disappointed. There were folks I rooted for and those I definitely didn't, lol. Always interesting and entertaining.
Avocado Toast the series (2020)
Great characters
I stopped watching TV years ago and never watched sitcoms, but Charlie David's name attached to this made me give it a try. I am overjoyed I did! Each of these episodes is like a little puzzle piece where we learn more about the characters we know and are introduced to new ones. We don't get the characters' stories all at once and in each episode there is at least one surprise revealed about a character. There are all ages, races, sexualities here and everyone gets both sad and funny moments. And they are funny. The humor is real and arises out of the situations, it isn't just stuck in to get a laugh. I am a hard laugh but these folks made me laugh. I will buy this when it goes off Prime because this is one I know I am missing things in and will want to watch again. The second season has all the same things to recommend it as the first season and is just as good. I like the shorter length of the episodes as I can drop in and watch a couple for a quick pick-me- up.

Informative and respectful
This was a fascinating documentary as all the Border2Border ones I have watched have been. I was delighted to be introduced to these folks by the amazing Luna Matatas that we've encountered in other videos. She is always super informative, respectful and so upbeat and sex positive. Having read my share of m/m romances with BDSM/kink elements it was refreshing to see and hear real people talking about their experiences.
