Crackdown (2020)
Recommended
Both the seasons of Crackdown are highly recommended. It's a decent story but the performances, direction and cinematography(at places) lift the story. The best part about season 2 are action sequences. Absolutely brilliant. In awe with the performances of Iqbal Khan, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Waluscha D'Souza. One of the best character arcs in the story is of Zorawar Kalra and Iqbal Khan performs it with utmost conviction and grace. Khaleel's story and strategies are churned out well. Saqeeb as RP was decent throughout the series. The twist and turns, the surprise elements, the action sequences, and the beautiful, beautiful performances by everyone is worth the time you invest in this series. The Kashmir part of the story has brilliant cinematography, I would've loved to see more of it. The season ends leaving you intrigued for the next installment.
Na Umra Ki Seema Ho (2022)
A refreshing love story
Came here for the story, stayed with the characters. Dev and Vidhi have been fresh changes as ITV characters. The show knows how to serve old school and slow burn romance. To top this it has Iqbal Khan and Rachana Mistry as the leads. It's such a treat for the eyes to watch the duo perform.
The story has so far stuck to its main theme. It comes not only with the harsh truths of life (society) when it comes to age gap love but it's all set to explore the dynamics of the characters post they establish a relationship pre and post marriage. There are light moments, there's falling in love, there's being in love, there's family drama. A little of everything to keep you hooked.
Iqbal Khan breathes life into Dev like no one could ever do. Rachana Mistry is a breath of fresh air on the screen. The rest of the cast is well placed, breaking the stereotypical mould type.
A wholesome watch for the viewers looking for a fresh Indian daily soap.
Music Teacher (2019)
ENCHANTING
I watch a very few romantic movies and this would top the list for obvious reasons!
A very well made film. Each scene is a poetry in itself. Be it the long stares of Manav Kaul into the nothingness or the hopeless stares of Divya Dutta. This movie connects so well that one will be able to feel the gravity, the weight of the scenes. Sarthak Dasgupta has done a marvelous job to bring out this effect. The cinematography too is on point. And the songs, WOW. Besides the recreated versions of some beautiful old melodies, Sambhaal Rakhiyaan steals the show, at least for me. The songs are way too underrated. All in all this movie will leave you spellbound and cast a spell of "INTEZAAR" on you! Some of the dialogues will steal your heart.
