Leatherface (2017)
Not too bad
Interesting to see where old Leatherface came from and how he became so evil. Dorff holds his own and Taylor is always fun to watch. The rest of the cast -- so so. Anyway, a decent addition to the series.
Frozen (2013)
If my son likes it, I like it!
My son watches this film twice a month. I don't recall ever wanting to repeat a film that often when I was a little kid. But Disney sure has their target market pegged. And they've made a fortune with this. Good for them and Mr. Igor.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
This movie will rock you!
Well done, Malik is amazing as Freddy Mercury, couldn't have cast this role better. And the fact that Brian May was a consultant on the film adds the authenticity needed to prevent it from veering into Hollywood ridiculousness.
School of Rock (2003)
Funny funny funny
I dare anyone, ANYONE, to watch this flick and not laugh out loud through half of it. It's got a great story, great writing, great acting, and heart! Jack Black can do no wrong....except King Kong.
Us (2019)
Blandness for the masses
Is it just me or has Jordan Peele bewitched Hollywood? His films simply are not that good. If a white filmmaker had made the same film, I predict it would have bombed badly. Because the material is crap. Perhaps PC decision making has put studio execs in an altered state...or worse. Boo!
Midsommar (2019)
Interesting take, but not interesting enough.
The gimmick used here with the film set entirely during daylight is interesting, especially for the horror genre. That said, the script and dialogue were below par and takes the viewer out of the suspension of disbelief. Actors were okay, direction was competent, it was the writing that blew it. Nice effort though.
Echoes of War (2015)
Boring beyond belief!
I challenge anyone to sit and watch this movie in its entirety. The writers of this material must have been really really high when writing this. And the people who funded this must have been even higher. The people behind this couldn't have made this any more boring if they had tried. Stupidity begets stupidity.
Tell (2014)
Ouy vey, the gaffer wants to be a director...
Pretty much unwatchable. Lousy script. Amatuerish direction. Choppy editing. Sub-standard production values.
Number 1: Whoever hired a gaffer to be the director should be banned from making films altogether.
Number 2: Whoever read this script and decided to purchase it from the 'writer' (a bit TV actor from four decades ago) should stick with reading Teen Vogue.
Number 3: Whoever cast Milo in the lead role of this should be demoted to craft services.
Number 4: Whoever rated this film higher than 2 or 3 stars was directly involved in the film.
Yes...it really is that bad!
