Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Paternity (2007)
An amazing hour of television
Whilst some may think that this episode is based too much on the lives of the detectives...I, a loyal viewer, think this may be one of the best episodes in SVU- no,-television history.
The acting by Isabel (Kathy Stabler) and Mariska (Olivia Benson) in this episode was brilliant. Emotional scenes, dramatic scenes...all will leave the viewer on the edge of their seat.
And then, of course, there is the hug with the two lead detectives- Stabler and Benson- which will leave fans of the show- and the shipping- thrilled.
Definitely worth watching...and waiting through several mediocre episodes this season.
House M.D.: You Don't Want to Know (2007)
Disappointing
While the storyline was interesting, the lack of 2 vital- and original-characters was less than pleasing to fans of the original 'ducklings'. I am speaking of, of course, Dr Chase and Dr Cameron's notable absence.
So far this season regular characters such as Dr Wilson (House's friend), Dr Chase and Dr Cameron have had very small roles in a show that they used to be vital characters. Replaced with House's potential team.
That was acceptable.
But now the show has taken another step and completely written them out of an entire episode. Was there a reason for this? or where they too wrapped up in the new story lines of 'Thirteen' and friends.
Perhaps the creators (and writers) ought to take a long, hard look at what made the show popular and bring back chase and Cameron!
Transformers (2007)
Exceeded My Expectations!
When I heard that there was going to be a Transformers movie I pretty much rolled my eyes and assumed it would be yet another comic-like movie with bad acting, corny love-scenes and over-done special effects.
However, after hearing several rave-reviews from friends, I figured I'd give it a go...after all...I wasn't paying! The opening scene with the narration had me going..."Oh God", thinking it would be one of those movies! But not long into the movies I was in awe as how brilliant it was! The special-effects were brilliant, acting was pretty great and Josh Duhamel was drool-worthy.
Much better than I ever thought it would be, I'm considering seeing it again!
