The Partridge Family: For Whom the Bell Tolls... and Tolls... and Tolls (1973)
Almost the stupidest EVER!
If he hes a gun, why not show it! Who the heck would hold people hostage, without showing his force? Why does nobody bash his head in with a lamp or something? Are ALL the men such pansies, not to protect their family? If this jerk did this to me, he would be DEAD!!! Am I wrong? I truely cannot how inept the writers made the men in this show were made out to be! Watch the camping or cooking episodes. Maybe the writers were all feminists, trying to make men look bad! The woman are all superheros, and the men can do NOTHING right! What do you think was their motivation? This kind of garbage would never fly today!
Father Knows Best: Margaret Learns to Drive (1957)
Babies
The first lesson, neither one was listening. They were both acting like babies!
Jim SHOULD have pulled the car out of the driveway, all the while showing Marg how to do things.
Times have changed SO much since!
Father Knows Best: Father, the Naturalist (1956)
A bunch of wimps
Carhy, for the second time, forces her daddy to do something stupid! "Daddy, I just GOTTA" What a spineless, unforgiving, little girl! Expecting her father to go out into the night for her book! Her first was when she made daddy sleep in the shack!
Stupid child!
That Girl: Anatomy of a Blunder (1966)
Terrible episode
I could not disagree more with the previous post. Maybe it's the way the writers were developing Don's character, but he comes off as a complete idiot, and an incompetent boob! They further make him into a total panty-waste, and a wuss.
When he has only one contact in, he looks like a moron. And who doesn't know the rear tire will throw mud on you if your behind it? Also, is it not funny (ironic), how Ann suddenly knows how to operate the clutch?
I found nothing funny about this episode, and felt sorry for Ted, as his character really looks stupid, and inept. There are more episodes that further this development.
What's Happening Now!: Adventures of Kangaroo Kincaide (1988)
Really?
This is BY FAR the stupidest episode, of the series. Quite possibly the stupidest of all sit-coms! I mean, really?
Hazel: My Son, the Sheepdog (1966)
Narrow minded
What I find hilarious is the way the parents and Hazel dress when they are trying to be "hippies" ! What's up with her scarf? TOO FUNNY!!
This is BY FAR the worst episode of all shows, of all time.
I also have to reiterate how self contradictory Hazel is. In the s4 ep15 "Love 'em and Leave 'em" she is dancing to, and enjoying the music. Rock and roll music! In this episode, she hates it!
Then, in the end, they think it's so funny that they "won", and the kids relented.
The Partridge Family: Swiss Family Partridge (1972)
Another episode showing how men are incompetent.
This is just another example of how the writers made the guys look like idiots. Ruben trying to light the end of the log with a lighter? Come on! Didn't he say he was in the Army? How come he didn't know how to make a fire? Poor writing. AGAIN! There are others!
The Partridge Family: Hel-l-l-p (1972)
Another absurd message!
This episode, as well as "This Male Chauvinist Piggy Went to Market:" 3.1, show that the males on this show are completely inept, incompetent, and unprepared! The only saving grace was Chris is not involved is any way!
How could three guys go camping without food, bedding, shelter, or any provisions at all? Each one had a suitcase, with clothes in them, and nothing else. Keith brings his guitar, why? It never gets played, I don"t believe. How could they have been so stupid? Especially Danny. He is ALWAYS prepared for anything! In the end, they get lost, and need mom to save them.
Exactly, what were the writers trying to say?
Silver Spoons: Falling in Love Again (1982)
I have always liked this show, and Erin is such a babe!
The final scene of this episode is, in my opinion, one of the best and most touching sitcom scenes there are! Joel was a lucky guy! He got to kiss Erin Gray, more than once! WOW!
The Partridge Family: Where Do Mermaids Go? (1971)
Sends an absurd message!
Why would the mother of 5 children, refuse the money to put everyone through college, especially when no one would be hurt? Jenny would have recovered the money within a few years through interest, and this is something she really wanted to do! So. WHY NOT?
This turns out to be a "no winner" sitcom situation, just like all the others!
