The Social Network (2010)
Decent movie
I personally utterly antipatiza Mark Zuckerberg, but I try to be as sincere as possible when making a movie review. The movie is actually good.
I could almost say that I liked the version of Mark Zuckerberg portraied in the movie.
He was obviously made to look like a good person in the movie, but still... Jeez, that man.
Anyway, hoping that I won't end up.even liking him. Just kidding, I still don't like him.
The characters were okay, They were portraied in a way that makes them seem like they evolve, the action is okay, I suppose as should any biographical move should be, and the general quality was also neat.
Team America: World Police (2004)
Utter trash
I usually am not so harsh on movies, and my discrepancies to the average IMDb score isn't this big, but I was half way through and I found it to be litterarly a rubbish.
I was expecting an average movie, something to have a good time, but this, gosh is just horrible.
It's neither funny, nor entertaining, I can't find a better word for it than worthless.
It made me feel unconfortable, and unpleasant. I DON'T recommend anyone see it! Just don't.
The characters aren't even decent contructed, the only moment I felt a thing related to any emotion, was when the protagonist was acting with the terrorists.
But this is just my opinion. You are free to have any other thoughts about it.
Gosh, this turned me on!
Teambuilding (2022)
Mediocre comedy
Not good not bad. Somewhere in between. This movie gave me a 90s or 2000s comedy vibe. Definetely not amazing. But I had a good time watching it. TBH could have been time worse spent.
As a software engineer I could empathize with.corporation feeling, but sincerely I wouldn't tolerate with this kind of HR personel in any circumstance. I'd either switch jobs or just plan old quit.
Would this be possible had I been in their situation? Hard to tell, but if they search long enough they would have found something.
As for the comedic part. That was at most average. I'd say bellow average. The classic small kind of silly team vs the big bad boys. Not something you'd find often here in Romania. This kind of.bully attitude hasn't had time to evolve here.
My view is obviously biased, since I work in a corporation, and live in Romania, and the movie could only partially encompass the experiences we have in this courntry in a corp.
I oscilated between 6 and 7 and decided to go with the 6 because I have rated better movies with 7.
Worth watching?
Yes if you work in a corp
Perhaps, if you don't and have the time.
The War Within (2005)
The War Within is the story of Hassan, a Pakistani engineering student in Paris, who is apprehended by American intelligence services for suspected terrorist activities.
After his interrogation, Hassan undergoes a radical transformation and embarks upon a terrorist mission, surreptitiously entering the United States to join a cell based in New York City. After they have meticulously planned an event of maximum devastation, the members of the cell are arrested, except for Hassan, Khalid, and their cell leader Izzy.
With no alternative and nowhere else to turn, Hassan must rely on the hospitality of his former best friend Sayeed, who is living the American dream with his family in New Jersey. To go forward and carry out his own attack, Hassan takes advantage of Sayeed's generosity while plotting his strategy and amassing materials to create explosives. Eventually, Hassan's skewed religious fervor clashes with his feelings for Sayeed and his family, especially Sayeed's young son Ali, his eight-year-old daughter Rasheeda, and Sayeed's sister Duri, with whom Hassan begins to fall in love.
When Izzy is arrested, Khalid and Hassan decide to use the explosives in a suicide attack on Grand Central Station. Duri discovers Hassan mixing the explosives in her brother's house. When Sayeed tries to stop him, Hassan knocks him out and runs away. Duri follows Hassan to stop the attack. At the last minute, Khalid loses his nerve and Hassan goes to the target alone. Duri arrives at Grand Central Station just before Hassan detonates his explosive belt. After the attack, Sayeed is held by the police, who believe that he helped Hassan.
Mystery Incorporated: Welcome to Coolsville (2022)
Decent. Not extraordinary
Quick disclaimer: I'm not going to assume anyone will have the same experience as me, nor will I believe anyone was expecting to feel the same way we all felt when watching Scooby Dooby Doo Where are you. Of course. I was watching it when I was a little child, in the mid 2000s.
Having said this, it's impressive that they have managed to get such a high quality episode with such a low budget.
Nevertheless, the story, at least, wasn't so quite impressive. The cliché good outsider guys vs the bad bullies in the school, is definitely a motive of this story, as you can see in many many many similar tv shows.
Some special effects were good, others were mediocre to bad, but that's to expect on $20k episode.
As a conclusion, I'd say it's a solid 7, perhaps even an 8.
Note that obviously those numbers are relative to all the other tv episodes I saw, combined with their average rating.
Golf Punks (1998)
Not the best, but not the worst either
I must admit. It's not a great movie. Not a classic by any means. But I remember seeing it when I was little, and now rewatching it, was quite enjoyable. I don't regret watching it. Maybe a little cliché "losers vs elite", old rivalry, and so on and so forth, but, nevertheless, as a whole, leaving you with a sweet taste after watching. I recommend watching it on 1.5x speed, cause it may get ever so slightly boring.
The Intern (2015)
Great movie
The movie is great. It tells the story of a senior citizen that becomes an intern, in a funny and sympathetic way.
There're alot of feelgood, enjoyable screens, and few scenes I disliked, or feeled cheesy.
The last scene of the movie was actually probably the only scene I didn't like.
Rick and Morty: Rickdependence Spray (2021)
Underrated, but not by much
The story revolves around Morty's "horse adventure", and the consequences of lying to Rick.
From my point of view the episode was okay, maybe a bit stranger than the usual Rock and Morty episode. It seems to me that the creators are running out of ideas, and they try to make every episode a satire of a movie or a series. Some of them are good, fun, and interesting. Nevertheless I get the feeling that the series's creators are running out of ideas. Maybe it was a mistake to make the series run for another 7 seasons, and 2-3 would have been enough to keep the Ballance between quality and quantity.
Only time will tell.
We're No Angels (1989)
Sincerely enjoyed it
I've first seen part of it, years ago on tv, and now it's been made available on
HBO go. I've quite enjoyed it, sincerely. It's definitely not the best movie I've see, but it's not the worst either. I find it important to point out, that the.
The plot wasn't the best, and neither the characters, but it gave me a nice feeling in the gut, and the nostalgia didn't hurt either.
Not a 10, but not a 6.2 either. Therefore I decide to give it a nice and average 8.
