Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi (2023)
Chill and funny
I watched it with my wife since we both enjoy clean anime rom coms. At first, it was hard to latch onto because the main characters seemed a bit robotic and hard to relate to. I wasn't sure if I would be able to last beyond the first episode. However, this first impression did not last.
There is a good variety of different characters, and they each have solid depth/complexity. In short, they are all hilarious together and have a unique work dynamic that is refreshing for American culture. I would recommend giving the first two episodes a shot so that you can get a good feel of the characters in the show. From there you can decide if it's the right show for you, but I'm eagerly waiting for another season. I also like to rewatch the show to have something calm and interesting on while I settle down for bed.
Yubisaki to Renren (2024)
My first 10
I watched the first episode, seeking a witty romance show. I found it to be captivating in both the artwork and character dynamics. I watched it again later with my wife and she enjoyed it as much as I did. It is aesthetically pleasing, charming, and (for lack of a better term) "cute." In fact, it is so cute I find myself doting over it (can't say I have ever experienced that before with a movie or tv show). I'm not even embarrassed to admit it-it's just an impactful show.
So far, I have found it to be delivering in the romance genre, and it is also quite funny. If you are looking for a show that is heartwarming, wholesome, and will have you melt with sheer delight, I would recommend this to you. I hope the series continues this momentum and other shows follow in its footsteps. Thank you.

Couldn't stop watching it
Very unique dynamic in the family, and it made the show hilarious. Has humor like Avatar the last airbender, but the action is on steroids. Very unique plot, and lots of twists and turns that keep you constantly entertained. I'll get to the point of what I liked and didn't like:
Liked
- Yor + Loid (I think they are adorable together and hilarious). Definitely my favorite parts of the show have both of them together.
- Anya is soooo funny!
- The crazy fighting, stealth, and action scenes
Disliked
- Yuri (just no)
- The gore and dark parts caused my wife to just drop the show
- Constantly left wanting from the romance with the main protagonists (definitely want more there)
Really hoping for another season with more of what I enjoyed! Also, the second opening to the first season I could watch/listen to on repeat-very well done.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023)
Not sure about the hate, so sharing the love
It was funny, the graphics were good, and the story was well thought out. It has all the same fun elements as the first movie, but it also has more cool mythical additions. I loved how it expanded upon some of Shazam's background and how it ties into the greater universe. Better than most Marvel movies (which had set a lot of great precedents since the Dark Knight series), and not cheesy like a fair amount of other super hero movies. I also like how it's more family friendly and satirical than most super hero movies. Buying it shortly, and looking forward to the next one!
Oh, and make sure to watch past the credits to see an important cut scene. There is one mid credits and one after the full credits are shown.
Eragon (2006)
Never read the book, and I loved the movie.
The same happened for me with Harry Potter: All of my friends were super upset about the movie because it's not the book. They then made sure that I had the wrong idea based on their own feelings. However, I found the movie(s) to be great, and then went back and read the books to enjoy those too. Give it a chance, but maybe it helps if you don't know what you're missing/if you don't compare the movies purely to the books (they never fully equate in any series I know of, and can still be quality works of art in themselves).
