Summoning Sylvia (2023)
Laugh out loud funny
I rented Summoning Sylvia expecting a horror movie but didn't expect to laugh out loud as much as I did. The story starts out with a group of friends "kidnapping" a friend of theirs who is about to get married for a weekend getaway in a house that may or may not be haunted. They hold a seance to connect with the spirit and find out that the previous owner had a gay son. I won't spoil the rest, but there are mistaken identities and sounds that aren't what they seem and a brother-in-law who may or may not be a homophobic killer whose body has been possessed by an evil spirit. This has some of the wittiest dialogue and lines that my friends and I now use to crack each other up.
Chameleon (2019)
Well Made
We were bored and decided to watch it on Amazon Prime.
Good acting, it was intriguing for the most part and had just enough turns to keep us watching till the end.
However, it was a good film, and we enjoyed it.
Interreflections (2020)
Stunning!!!!!!!!!
I may be a fan boy of PJ but I found this film so refreshing due to its unorthodox nature -- not to mention the incredible intellectual contribution. My favorite scene is when they start throwing the cigarette pack emoji's at the cardboard cut out! Haha.
Happy's (2021)
Great film
Awesome movie, highly recommended. I have enjoyed it very much.
The Faceless Man (2019)
From Down under comes somthing bizzare
This film is as crazy as it comes. Just when I thought I worked it out it threw curve ball after curve ball. At times I struggled to understand the different genres and then just sit back and enjoyed the ride. Some great solid scenes and while I dont think everything worked well it was memoriable and I had a good time overall.
A cult classic
