A tribute to an oustanding journalist
14 July 2003
I was a bit anxious when I heard they were making a film of the life of Veronica Guerin. I was worried that hollywood would get their hands on it and blow it out of proportion. This is not the case. This film, while being entertaining and exciting, still holds on the true facts of the situation. It is a tribute to Veronica Guerins life and work.

Being Irish this film probably holds more meaning as I can clearly remember the events portrayed in this movie. Although I would still recommend it to anyone regardless of nationality as it is a deeply touching watch.

I was also amazed at how realistic Cate Blanchett's accent is. You have no idea how many respectable actors have tried to put on an "Irish accent" and faile miserably. Cates accent is both believable and well rehersed.

Full marks 10/10

Some hilarious moments with rocking tunes.
23 May 2002
I watched this film coz there was nothing else on tv. After listening to the opening few bars of music I was just about to change channel when the music suddenly started rocking and a cockroach started singing from the top of the statue of liberty. This film is in no way a classic but it gave me one of the best laughs ive had in ages.
