Spencer (2021)
depressing boring nonsense
I had very high hopes for this movie after seeing the trailer and the pictures, but unfortunately the movie falls into complete nonsense after only 10 minutes.
Diana is portrayed as a half idiotic woman who sees delusions and talks to an old coat.
And I can understand that the sacrificed Queen Anne Boleyn is a bridge to the sacrifices that Diana had to endure, but to have her now run through the halls as Anne Boleyn and the constant appearance of the decapitated Queen is really going too far for me.
And as a History buff, I was also annoyed that the portraits of Jane Seymour and Anne Boleyn hang in the dining room while they are in the possession of the National Portrait Gallery in London.
In short......................... in my opinion this is a total failed project and made to score over the back (again) of a tragic woman .
But as depressed as she was she wasn't as insane as this movie would have us believe, Gosh what a boring woman they've made of her.
The Spanish Princess (2019)
wow how bad can something be?
I was really looking forward to a series about Katherine and her side of the story.
What became apparent after the first 2 episodes?...........this is an even worse False of History than the childish "Reign".
How is it possible that the writers confuse ages and time segments so much that there is really nothing left of the truth.
My few stars are just for the casting of Katherine , finally an actress with light hair and not a dark Spanish actress (Katherine was blonde).
Other than that I'm just saying, don't waste your time on this nonsense that gets finished quickly at the end because they had to cram everything into a few parts.
HORRIBLE !
American Horror Stories (2021)
disappointing
This series seemed like a pleasant surprise between seasons 9 and 10 but I wish I hadn't even started it.
The first 2 parts were more than bad and we've seen the Rubber man/woman by now so burn that costume and never talk about this nonsense again.
Actually I don't think this series has anything to do with AHS but I think it's more a kind of "Tales from the dark side" with weak plots and weak acting.
I'll just go ahead and wait for season 10 of AHS and let this idiocy pass me by.
La cocinera de Castamar (2021)
lousy rushed ending
The whole series is slow but nice to watch but towards the end it is very quickly cobbled together.
People are killed in one blow, things are suddenly solved quickly like a marquise who has suddenly been dead for 2 weeks next to the road, but the complete ending is really weird, out of nowhere the duke is no longer a duke and we don't know how and what what happened to his family etc.
If they had added an episode with explanations etc this series would have been layered but unfortunately it is now an anticlimax on all fronts, a pity of a series with a lot of potential.
Legacies (2018)
every week weaker
The series started well with season 1 and 2 but by season 3 the writers really lost track.
What bad storylines, situations and fake monsters.
There was so much to get out of Hope's character but the writers seem to find the supporting roles more important and for the annoying Lizzie......... she is starting to look more and more like Nellie from the little house on the prairie.
Who the hell invents the stupid storylines of a witch sect and even worse a dream episode in space , no S3 is a missed opportunity to de well.
Very unfortunate for the actors who have to play these bad episodes of season 3.
Imperium: Nerone (2004)
Hans is great as usual but my God the girl who play's Acta
Hans is great as usual but my God the girl who play's Acta what is that?
This film version of the Nero story is fresh and easy evening watch TV but ....
Because (I think) the actress who plays Acta has been dubbed, I am completely annoyed by her gasping and squeaking sounds before she says anything.
Then she has the appearance of a goldfish so I really do not understand who has cast this lady.
For me this role is the most annoying role that I have seen playing in years, so I ruined a very large part of the actually good series.
The rest of the cast plays well and Hans is a Nero who does not fall into the stereotype of the overly insane emperor.
So for a relaxing evening watching TV, this version is great, but not high-quality, unfortunately, because Hans had deserved a better opponent than this gasping girl.
Dracula (2020)
what an absurd superfluous poorly made exploitation of a classic story
I thought, yes finally a Dracula story pulled to this time, unfortunately ...................... the main character is cast on Bela Lucosi looks but lacks any charisma that the original actor made hypnotic.
Then the story becomes more laughter every 10 minutes because the plots go in all directions without ever achieving anything.
I already thought the Dracula version with Jonathan Rhys Meyers was absurd, but was 100 times more fascinating and at least more original than this nonsense.
Let's hope there won't be season 2 of this series because it's a waste of time for the actors and viewers (and our netflix subscription).
