The Entity (1982)
Disturbing and scary
Watched this film a long time ago and I still have thoughts about it. The way it is directed is effective and Barbara Hershay is the perfect actress for the role of a single woman in a world of pure terror that has her life and her mind losing track of reality and she has to go through terrible acts of abuse to her body and knowing that the story is a true one makes it even more difficult to watch and read the book before the film does help you to endure the visual scenes. The film is a classic and still very atmospheric in all the right places. Sleeping alone after watching this film will not be easy for you and a good while afterwards.
The Red Nightmare (2021)
NIGHTMARES ARE SCARY AND DON'T MAKE SENSE....
Every nightmare is nonsense but it is so terrifying at the time that freaks you out. Each of these short frights made me jump. Genuinely creepy I love and hate horror films that make you hide your eyes but peep through your fingers anyway just to see what happens. Definitely worth the watch if you want to be scared especially when it's late and you're just on your own.........most of the reviews aren't good but I think these anthologies are the stuff of nightmares and just enough to scare the s...... of you I'm gonna give this one a straight 10/10 and 5 stars too. Good watch ..................
The Good Neighbor (2022)
Unsettling and unhinged
Jonathan Rhys Meyers makes this film and he is the one who can fool and does it all silently devoid of empathy for all that gets in the way of his plan. Revenge is on his mind and his neighbor is the first to get his car damaged. Her sister comes to see the crime journalist who is involved with his own crime,,... Untrusting sly and both know what happened but each one of the other is getting more and more aggressive with each other. Not knowing what really is going on makes for a good psychological thriller that is definitely worth watching it is a situation that is plausible and reality turned on its head.
