High Kicks and High Brow Humor
31 January 2020
I love the slideshow intro. It was such a wonderful touch. Making the journey home for the Yoo-Hoo. That's what it's all about. Best part of this show is looking up all the references I don't understand. Everyone in this family is so different and yet the love is always there. I'm still blown away by how many songs I know from this show. Not to get ahead of myself but this child actor really has a future in film. Grandma's story on the bowling term "Turkey" is something I would totally do. Fighting Sheldon is priceless. OMG the set design is perfect in this show. I'm blown away. Really love that his brother helps him out this episode. Crazy Chicken!!! Even when Sheldon is scared of the bully, he's still so strong for his age. Dad is a perfect high school gym coach.

The Laughs keep coming!

Warning: Spoilers
The father son relationship is at its best in this episode. "Hell is other people" He would find that true. Elf reference!!! Great nestalgia reference. You gotta give respect to the team behind Sheldon looking into the universe. Really interesting that they use real life references such as the book he reads. Each scene is shot with perfect lighting. Props to the team. Watching children act like adults is always super charming. After watching this episode I plan on reading that self help book. Testing out small talk is the best scene of the episode. Cracking up over the conversations with his teachers. Hilarious that his mom checks in on him at lunch. I can't believe I can relate so much to a kid who doesn't want to go to recess!!! Navigating the halls is adorable. Glad to see so many powerful female role models for this time frame. Momming at lunch is a very funny situation. Emotionally troubled adults and Sheldon equal an A+!

Great Start To A Great Story

He's a great child actor. I truly believe that he is smarter than everyone. Evangelical christians on TV finally! It's like going to church but not leaving home. Love the mom. She accepts who Sheldon is and is unapologetic. Puberty and testicle talk in church perfectly sets up the humor of this show. It's got an edge! My favorite part is Everyone thinks he's a know it all but he's misunderstood. Very relatable.
