Dune: Part Two (2024)
I could've watched this movie for 5hrs straight
Loved the movie so much, the visuals are remarkable, the music, the storytelling, the acting, the costumes, everything was top notch!
Definitely has to be watched in IMAX.
The only thing I disliked was how Timothee and Zendaya have negative chemistry and you couldn't really buy into their romantic relationship, mostly from Zendaya's side. I honestly think she was the weakest link of this movie.
That being said, the movie was still 10/10, because it is so grand, few details can't diminish it.
Austin Butler was great, the guy can really act with solely a body language, without saying a word.
Rebecca Ferguson too!
The Favourite (2018)
Couldn't stand this movie for longer than 30mins
Emma Stone is seriously miscasted here. She just doesn't know how to act. She over does and over acts everything and always plays the exact same role in every movie she ever played in.
The rest of the cast is so great so she stands out like a sore thumb.
Costumes are not so great either. Materials are weird.
That's mostly it about what I have to say about this, definitely not good, movie but I must have at least six hundred characters to submit the review which I absolutely have to do to warn you not to watch it.
Do not watch. Watch something else. Anything else. This movie is really irritating as lye.
The White Queen (2013)
Worst series I ever watched
This is, without a doubt, the worst series I have ever watched and Lord knows I watched ton of cr@p. This is (much) worse than Mexican telenovelas.
Very boring and inaccurate.
And everything happens because of witchcraft. I couldn't go past that.
You're telling me queens did witchcraft? People burned witches back than.
0/10
Worse than anything in the world.
Ce soir, je dors chez toi (2007)
It is impossible to care
It is impossible to care about the characters. No chemistry. Overall very boring with few irritating moments.
I should have stopped it 10 mins in.
I have nothing else to say about this but require 150 characters to submit.
I am sorry but there is not much to say about this movie it is just very blah.
Venom (2018)
Light romantic comedy
This is not a superhero movie but light romantic comedy. Still better than most Marvel movies.
Btw Stan Lee makes appearance once again which is so overdone.
La casa de papel (2017)
Mostar is not in Bosnia, MOSTAR IS IN HERZEGOVINA
Please get your informations right when filming a series.
Noone in the team had geography in school?
Old bridge and Mostar are in Herzegovina.
Me Before You (2016)
Though this great of a cast could do better.
Average movie with extremely sad story that's just sad by itself not bc of the scenes, actors, acting skills, characters... It's like some newspaper article about some car accident. Something distant but tragic.
I didn't exactly feel connected to the characters and kinda just wanted to see the ending so I stuck till end.
It's not even a romantic movie if you think about it.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
R L Stine helped write this tv movie?
Growing up I loved reading Fear Street, I read like 20 of his books but this, man, this is not good.
This is below average tv movie.
Skip.
Holidate (2020)
Cute romantic movie with likeable characters.
This is a cute romantic movie with likeable characters. You really start rooting for them to be together. I liked it. It's not a masterpiece or anything, but it is good for a romantic comedy. It has some really good jokes- I laughed out loud.
The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two (2020)
All over the place
This movie is all over the place, they even, start singing at some point like it's a musical. It also has ALL the cheesy lines and already-seen occurrences.
CGI work is very, very bad. It feels like switching from regular movie to cartoons then back to regular movie that is also a musical.
Do not recommend.
Hot Fuzz (2007)
Intelligent comedy
This is not your average comedy. It's clever, it's witty, characters are likeable. I loved it.
Go watch it "for the greater good".
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her (2013)
Depressing, disappointing and very boring
First of all, the title of a movie tries a little too hard to be hipster which kinda cancels the hipster/indie vibe they tried to achieve. They even have a conversation about her name so we could all understand the coolness of the name.
Second, main characters are very childish, Eleanor is obviously and always has been an entitled brat. Both of them look at the world as a playground.
They tried to play mommy and daddy, it went wrong, now they are just depressed and depressing all of us who watch.
It kinda looks like they don't grieve for their child so much as they like to continue being sad because it is easier that way. They say they tried to make it better but you just don't see it. It is difficult to deal with depression but this does not feel like depression mor grieveing, this is more like self pity.
I read an excellent review which I am going to quote now since I am not this articulate. Here it goes:
"The script is a disaster. The grief process is managed as if they were affected teenagers instead of young parents. At the beginning of the film I was commited but I didn´t feel anything whatsoever, except boredom. It doesn´t add absolutely anything to the matter, emotionally, psychologically or intellectually. I still don´t understand why does the teacher get so acquainted so quick with Eleanor, I guess the writer was one character short."
The Invention of Lying (2009)
Nonsensical heresy
Do not recommend. Do not recommend.
Watch some other romantic comedy and thank me later.
The I-Land (2019)
Why such a bad score, guys?
Great story, not exceptionaly good production, but plot is definitely great. I liked it and don't see why this has such a low score (while some terrible shows have more than 7.1).
Rear Window (1954)
Boring predictable snoozefest with bad acting
Why this movie has such high rating is beyond my comprehension. It is extremely boring and predictable. Characters are not very believable and the acting is pretty bad. (And you should have in mind I like Hitchcock, old movies and their plots!)
For starters, how could anyone believe that Grace and James are a couple? They have literally zero chemistry, kisses are so bad that I cringed watching. But, unfortunately, that's not the only thing wrong with their highy unbelievable relationship.
Their characters are not compatible at all and I don't even know where they could meet each other or how they started dating in the first place. It is also kinda problematic relationship, from my point of view, because all she does, for (longest) 2 hours of my life, is pamper him and try too hard for this relationship to work. Even she's aware it's very wrong bc she tries to break up, but...she does not even though he does nothing to make her stay. All she does is tries so hard to fit in his world. A lot of young girls do this and I think they should not see this movie bc it is possibly dangerous that they will use this to justify their own behaviour.
Second thing where movie failed miserably is Jeff's character altogether. That guy is anything but likeable and you just can not connect with him. All he does for whole movie is 1) creep trough the neighbour windows ALL day long with a binoculars and a camera. If you ask me this guy belongs in jail. Imagine someone looking trough your window all day and all night long. Very sick. 2) He treats his girlfriend badly and brings down her mood or at least tries to bring her down AND finds peeping through windows more exciting than kissing her (what?!) 3) He thinks that everyone is there to serve him for his very problematic purposes- fixation on his neighbour i.e. his detective friend who he calls on his day off or when he is having dinner with his wife (and even Stella and Lisa are there to serve him). I could go all day long why is this guy a piece of garbage.
The more I think about this movie the more I find that the only thing they got right is depiction of a guy who says he won't get married. They are all pretty much like this guy. Not very likeable, fixated on something weird and not very bright when you think about it (bc if they were bright they would be aware of the fact that noone knows how love works or when will it happen).
So, basically, this movie is version of what kind of relationship you need to get out.
Also, why would Grace wear all that exceptionally beautiful, red carpet dresses to stay in with some grumpy guy in his pajamas?
Only believable costume in whole movie was that green co-ord with a bit too strong The Birds vibes for my own taste.
Next, let's review the plot. There is no much of a plot. It is as everyone predicted in the first 5 minutes of the movie, you just basically sit there and wait for it to happen. It is also very unbelievable, especially the part where a murderer does everything with his windows open. Also, ring is their biggest proof of killing someone? Not everyone wears wedding ring. Someone takes it off to cheat or after a fight or when separated or when their fingers swallowed or when cleaning...I could go on and on... They just assumed that they were not separated (?) which is very strange bc they did not have a very happy marriage. I would just assume that his wife left him and went to her hometown. Apparently, that is not possible in this movie. Also, how could they know that ring was hers? It could be literally any ring, not even a wedding band. The guy sells jewelry!!
This movie is full of nonsenss. Noone sees Jeff whilst he sees everyone? (Guess he is the sickest.) No woman would leave her jewelry behing? Breaking in murderer's apartment just because you are too curious? Dead dog left in plain sight? Not being able to walk because of a flash? Pushing guy trough a window while everyone watching because you are trying to get away? What?
This is just very problematic, boring movie with very bad acting and terrible plot. Don't watch it.
Rebecca (2020)
Good movie
I think the biggest problem with people leaving reviews here is that they are comparing it to the original 1940 version.
This movie is great and shot beautifully. Acting is good and costumes too. I do admit that the original has much better storyline and dialogues between characters, and is much more believable BUT this movie is definitely more romantic.
People also say don't make remake if you don't have anything new to add to it. I disagree. Why? Because new generations are (sadly) not likely to watch an old black and white movie, it just doesn't engage them enough.
This movie has something that will certainly attract younger audience especially because of the romance we see between the main characters.
The story is great and has tension until the very end.
Go, watch! (Both versions preferably.)
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Definitely not a sequel
Anyone who expects a sequel should know that this is not it.
Movie does rely (a lot) on previous events, meaning you should watch The Shining first, but it is not as half as good, it's not even the same genre.
Dr Sleep is more like an action movie with Marvel-like villains and rushed conversations (especially the one in The Gold Room).
They try to recreate many scenes from The Shining but they do not deliver the same feeling nor ambiance. Everything feels rushed, it's like they don't think viewers will have enough patience to sit through this movie.
The main difference, for me, is the villain. While The Shining has that mystery/thriller kinda villain and a creepy, mysterious vibe overall; Doctor Sleep has comic kinda villain.
This movie ceirtanly has some modern vibes, unlike the old movies where they knew the story is good and relied on the story. This is like a mix of everything, like Liam Neeson from Taken VS Hela from Thor Ragnarok. It also has strong (lame) vampire vibes and much more. It's all over the place.
To conclude: it's not a bad movie, it's just not a very good one, and not even as half as good as Kubrick's masterpiece.
Emily in Paris (2020)
T e r r i b l e
Most obnoxious lead character ever, even though I can see the series tries sooo hard to make us like her. Why would anyone sympathize with her is beyond my comprehension.
Example (no spoilers) she is some sort of social media expert (eyeroll) BUT she posts some random young children (cca 7 and 5 y o) publicly on her Instagram profile. She literally posted some CHILDRENS photo online, on her Instagram, public. No, she did not ask the parents, she doesn't even know the parents, she just happened to meet their nanny whilst taking a photo and posting it online.
I am so not watching this series, also don't know whats the hype about, also who doesn't know Europe has different electric sockets, are you that oblivious and not interested in country you come to live in? Shame on you, cuz thats just arogant and rude!
Never have I ever seen an episode (definitely won't watch more than one) that I hated this much.
Abismal.
And no, I'm not French.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
How is this nominated for Oscar, beats me
Too boring, fell asleep two times whatching this (not exaggerating, literally).
Driving, driving, feet, feet, weird accents, feet...
Ending is the worst part, just blah, over the top, cartoonish and it still managed to be boring.
During the movie it looked like something's gonna happen, but no, nothing, I mean THEY JUST LIVE (drive and show feet) AND SOMEONE IS FILMING THAT.
Then they introduce new characters so that you, again, naively think ooh somethings about to happen, but no, still nothing. This movie is just a big boring tease!
It is definitely the worst movie by Quentin Tarantino. It even looked like its not Quentin but someone trying to do a hommage to Quentin, some veery bad rip-off by young sophomore director student. Movie tries to create tension but is just plain boring, then at the end tries to shock audience but did not succeed. (Actually I was a bit shocked 'cuz it was that bad).
Everything is bland and looks like they shot it in one day just so they can release it and earn some money $$$
How is this movie nominated for Oscar, beats me...
Amanda Knox (2016)
Skip this "documentary"
If you want to know anything about this case I advise you not to watch this movie since it doesn't say much therefore is just a waste od time. Rather visit the site The murder of Meredith Kercher or read courtroom transcripts.
This "documentary" (used quote marks there because it is SO biased) is too long with too little information about anything really.
They will show the story they want you to see (clearly some good PR) and tried their best to show Amanda as someone likeable (which she definitely is not, at least not for me).
After you finished watching this trailer streched into a movie, you will have so many questions and will be so confused.
Before watching this terrible attempt of making a documentary film I haven't know anything about a case neither who Amanda Knox was. (Spoiler: maybe she would be shocked since she humble bragged how everyone knows who she is). That is almost how I felt after finished watching it- still I know nothing.
While telling a story, both her and Raffaelo, were unprecise about anything, just a bunch of mumbo jumbo babbling and her trying to cry but no tears to be seen.
You will not be shown any timeline in this case or be told about witnesses who saw them that night or morning after.
They could make a movie in which they showed how two of them changed stories non-stopping, anytime some new evidence was found (scateing on bath mat, dinner at Raffaelos with Kercher which never happened) BUT they chose not to (cuz who could sympathise with such pathetic liars).
She may or may not be a murderer, I really can not say, but she definitely is a LIAR.
If you want some good series about crime just go watch Netflix People vs OJ Simpson and SKIP this crap. (Used skip intentionally since they SKIPPED ANYTHING THEY WANTED in order to make you believe them).

The Witcher (2019)
Don't bother...
I don't even know where to start (just like the writers of these series obviously haven't known). I'm not sure if this is bad because of poor last minute DIY Halloween costumes or uninteresting dialogs. Sometimes it looked like just a bunch of words actors just babbling out without thinking. Not one character is portrayed deep. In moments I found myself not even interested what happens with some characters. Nothing is done right, timeline is especially confusing.
It looks like this series are made for teenage girls (because all the girl drama, finding themselves, forced romance stories...) but it's definitely not since it has so much nudity.
I literally do not know who the audience for Witcher is.
