Angel-A (2005)
I loved it...I want to go to Paris...
I loved the film very much.I especially would think of watching it again even only for views.Great views from Paris.Historical places and all those beautiful bridges.Making the film in black and white is a very correctly taken decision.Beside the views, characters are enjoyable.Despite their opposite physical appearance they managed to look good and fit to each other.Angela was breathtaking and her very pale blonde hair and black dress looked perfect on black and white. And this made her look really holly. Also I liked her natural acting.Last but not the least, dialogs were strong.About life, about respecting yourself, loving yourself as you are...

Istanbul
After a long time, all you remember will be the great Istanbul scenes. Still, I tell my friends living abroad to see it. I was surprised to see the English name of the film mentioning about the magic carpet. Characters are OK.Cem Yilmaz adds too much to the film although he has a small part. I think Yilmaz Erdogan is better at writing than playing. But he could have found a better end for the film. I love Istanbul very much, so I loved the film. That was the advantage of this film maybe.Yilmaz Erdogan knows that too.The story would not attract people without all these flying camera (magic carpet) scenes. When you miss Istanbul too much, watch the film. You don't need to follow the dialogs closely.
