The Moon-Spinners (1964)
Great attempt at family friendly Hitchcock
Walt Disney gives Alfred Hitchcock a run for his money with The Moon-Spinners a great Hayley Mills vehicle that shows the actress in a fairly mature role compared to her others, Peter McEnery is introduced to the American public and was given another Disney role thanks to the Moon-Spinners.
The Main Event (2020)
More than a wrestling film
Like The Big Show Show (also on Netflix) The Main Event sadly just came and went which is a huge shame since the premise is very interesting and intelligent and it's played brilliantly. The story follows a young WWE nut from the states who finds a thought provoking wrestling mask in a strange basement. He begins to wear it and finds it gives him superpowers in the ring but at the Same time he's struggling at home due to his mother leaving the family and his dad is distant due to struggles because of her departure, his grandmother though is always by his side as his companion!
Don't go into this expecting a film only for wwe fans because that's not what this is, the main event will please wwe fans due to wrestler cameos, references and the wrestling matches That take place but non wwe fans will also get a kick out of this due to the brilliant story and the incredibly believable cast
The Big Show Show (2020)
Surprisingly very fun !
The Big Show Show follows a recently retired Big Show (Paul Wight) who for years has been one of the WWE's top players, Big Show is dedicating the majority of his time to being a family man!
His fictional family's comedic timing is on point, Allison Munn plays his wife and is obviously a comedy natural, his children are all equally identifiable and Big show himself has superb skill in physical comedy, a talent he may have acquired from his WWE days. I personally have always enjoyed watching the Big show wrestle in the ring and I learnt from The Big Show Show that I also love to watch his play a father for Netflix.
The Big Show Show really is a traditional American sitcom for families That I'd certainly recommend, it's harmless and enjoyable that's easy to watch without stopping !

My Girl 2 (1994)
Worthy of the first film!
My Girl was a poignant, well done and touching film about A girl named Vada and her insecurities, friendships and adventures. My Girl 2 follows Vada (now a teen) Who's travelling to California in order to trace her late mother's roots and she discovers all sorts of different things some good but also some bad. If the first made you cry then so will this one, Anna Chlumsky's Vada is now discovering even more life lessons now that she's older and one is love and boys, she has a kiss towards the end (not like her kiss with Macaulay Culkin In the first) with her non blood related cousin. Chlumsky plays the character just as well, Vada has obviously changed and matured but Still the playful, boyish girl we cried for in the first!
The film isn't a rehash but a fresh and detailed sequel which at the Same time has the magic of the first film all over it
The soundtrack is also wonderful
The Retrievers (2001)
Perfect for families, a guilty pleasure!
2001's The Retrievers is a very pleasant film with plenty of heart and warmth, it's harmless and fun. Not necessarily a groundbreaker but who said the film makers' intentions were to make another Old Yeller?! The cast is very good and almost always a believable family unit, always working together as a team but there decisions are sometimes very silly like after giving all there dog's puppies away soon after they decide they want them all back so go on a quest to bring them home from the buyers as if everybody does that!
Robert Hays stars in the film in a very similar role to his Character in Disney's Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey and he's just as endearing and likeable. Betty White shows up in a very minor role but a good one for any fans of The Golden Girls.
The film is absolutely perfect for families and Playful adults, luckily it can be found on YouTube and on DVD & VHS!
